- Best part is library,library is very great you can use it in your college timings and sometimes if there is no event more than that.
- The events happens often,so you can’t get bored and the events are very participative
Dislikes
- The campus is small,so you can’t spend so much time in the college
- And you are allowed to enter the college in your college timings,depends what you have choosen Morning/Day/evening
Remarks :
The college is very supportive,If you are pursuing a professional course like CA/CFA it’s the best college for you as per me with the best coaching centres available in the city.The teachers are also very supportive.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are top class,teaching method is very great and the professors are highly educated.Since, I’m from commerce background ,I like my course very much.Its a four year course,you can do for 3 years also.
Internships Opportunities :
Till now I have not opted for any internship,since I’m pursuing a professional course so I think you should focus on one thing rather doing multiple things in one time,though college offers internships opportunities
Placement Experience :
There are opportunities ,the college offers internship opportunities with the course and the college offers placement opportunities too,with a average placement of 5,00,000 as per your skills,if you know some great skills and you are active in college
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees range between 35000-39000 per semester and if you have scored more than 90% in your 12th than you can apply for the scholarship in which you can get the scholarship if you are selected for it.
Campus Life :
Life is great,campus is small but overall infrastructure is very great,events happens every month,you will not be alone in the college,its very easy to make friends here.Near college there are many places where you can go for hangout with your friends.
Hostel Facilities :
There are several pg option available here,ranges between 13k-18k if you go for good,though pg foods are not very great,my experience is not that great pg though I’m at the same pg from 2 years so I feel bored from pg food.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
