Honest Review of IIT Kharagpur from a pre-final year student

- Very big campus to roam around and explore. Largest in india
- ample number of people to socialise with who are interested in various domains
Dislikes
- Academics could be a little loaded because of lot of extra curriculars
- Few of the faculty could be underwhelming
Remarks :
Good Aspects are unlimited, few of them are the rich culture in sports and games, social and cultural, and technology. Academics are pretty loaded for the circuital, the rest it's just average engineering. The bad aspects are the weather( it's very humid) and the bad food(in a mess). I got in through JEE Advanced and studied from FIITJEE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because Mechanical Engineering Is very intriguing in a practical sense, where we can perform practical experiments. Faculty of course are best in their field. Since, a few years back IIT Kgp has been the best IIT, all the well-known professors are here and continue in the college. Fee hikes don't happen, and there are a lot of scholarships for income levels less than 5 lpa.
Internships Opportunities :
Ai/Ml intern @ T-Hub, World's largest innovation centre Chi-Square, India's top-10 leading deeptech startups Under a proffesor in CS Department of IIT Kgp in the domain of Natural Language Processing.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement are no backlogs and CGPA > 6.0 All the top MNC, tech giants recruit from all IITs. Top packages scroll down from 2.4cr to 40lpa. The average package is 24lpa for the Computer Science department.
Campus Life :
There are two fests in January. Kshitij, Asia's largest techno-management fest, and Spring Fest, India's largest cultural fest. There are more than 200 clubs, you can indulge in everything you have dreamed of and nothing is impossible.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
