- College infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges.
Dislikes
- There is a certain degree of non-flexibilty in college curriculum often due to the way of scheduling of courses
Remarks :
Admission is through JEE Mains and JEE Advanced The college has a very vast alumni base and a very good campus culture. The courses taught may be a bit behind the industry standards. The campus is very good overall but it is in a remote location with not much to do outside campus. The nearest metro city is Kolkata which is 110 km away.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculty are very qualified in their research areas and beyond, however, most lack the incentive to teach students in a good and easy way. Exams are held twice each semester along with some other class tests. Several scholarships are available, like the MCM scholarship, etc.
Internships Opportunities :
There is an internship drive also conducted by CDC IIT KGP. Several companies have reports which are also available on their website. Almost all reputated companies in tech, data, consulting, and particular engineering fields visit campus.
Placement Experience :
All final-year students with no disciplinary actions etc can sit for placements. The placement reports are available publicly on the CDC IITKGP website. Highest packages go up to 2-3 crores while the average is 20-30 lakhs PA Around 80-85% of students are placed.
Campus Life :
There are several fests conducted on campus almost every month. The main fests are: SpringFest (January), Kshitij (January), VIRASAT/SPIC MACAY (January), and several other fests of particular departments like Megalith, Impulse, etc The library is one of the largest. Almost all sports are available with Olympic standards along with cricket and others There are several student groups for almost every social/tech/any other topic/issue Food quality is good. You are allotted a hall of residence as you take admission. You have to stay there only unless there is some special case.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
