Eligibility Criteria

For all the UG courses, overall marks of the Class 12th along with the relevant subjects is considered for admission. 50 percent for non-reservation candidates and 40 percent of marks are needed for reservation candidates.

Selection Criteria

Selection of candidates for admission into all Undergraduate degree programmes of the University shall be based on the performance at the Common Entrance Test to be conducted centrally by AAU.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For M.Sc., the candidates should have a minimum prescribed CGPA in the relevant UG courses to be eligible for admission.
  • For M.V.ScM.F.Sc. and MBA, the candidates should have a minimum prescribed CGPA or minimum of 60 percent marks for non-reservation candidates and 50 percent marks for reservation candidates in the relevant UG courses to be eligible for admission.
  • For M.Tech, candidates should need to complete BE or B.Tech from recognized university. Or Minimum 4 year degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Home Science/ Fisheries Science/ B.V.Sc/Biotechnology/Food Science/Food & Nutritionand allied disciplines or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Life Sciences, Food Sciences, Food Technology and allied disciplines (with three-year Bachelor degree).
  • For PG diploma, the science-based qualification is preferred and an age limit of 30 years exists for admitting candidates.

Selection Criteria

  • Selection of the candidates for admission into Master’s Degree Programmes shall be based on the NTA score (2022-23) obtained by the candidates in ICAR’s AIEEA (PG) 
  • Selection in theM.Vsc and MSc Agriculture Biotechonology course is based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology (GAT‐B) entrance exam scorecard.
  • Selection in the M.Tech course is based on the GATE,AP PGECET,UPSEE,TS PGECET, and Karnataka PGCET entrance exam scorecard.

AAU Assam Application Process

Candidates need to register and apply in the online mode for the diverse courses at Assam Agricultural University in the following way:

  1. The candidates need to register in the official site of Assam Agricultural University with their basic details like name, mobile number, and Mail ID along with other details.
  2. Then after logging in with the credentials, the candidates need to select the course which they need admission to after going through the eligibility criteria devised for each course.
  3. Once the candidates choose the course, they need to pay the prescribed application fees for the selected course.
  4. Once the application fees payment is completed, the required documents need to be uploaded in the prescribed formats by also filling in your academic qualification details.
