COLLEGE LIFE

What I Liked

The infrastructure is good in our college the faculty are also well behaved campus life is also good
The classing hour is little bit more that is our class starts from 8:00 a.m. and it usually ends at 5 o'clock

What I didn’t like

Things I dislike about my college is doing the practical of mushroom it's like packing of bag composed back preparation of mushroom preparation of compost
The thing I dislike is the hostel bathroom sometime it's very untidy to use

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose to be say agriculture because Assam isvknown for his agriculture sector anti husbandry agriculture contains mushroom production soil production tea production biofertilizer biopesticides so many scope are there in Assam as in Bsc agriculture the faculties are very qualified and very knowledgeable and at per semester two exams held mid term exam and end term exam and practical exams and quizzes also held

What I Liked

The fact of small teacher and student ration.
Campus is beautiful greenary spread all over.
Good quality of hostel and facuty is good.
Arrangements of various events that helps students be busy.

What I didn’t like

The lab experiment decides are almost outdated
The faculty is not so good and gym needs some updates

I choose this course because it deals with the modern agricultural methods and helps the farming community. There is total 2 exams per semester that is mid term of 30 marks and an end term exam of 70 marks.

AAU Jorhat review

What I Liked

The college infrastucture is very beautiful and campus is very spacious.
The University has a very big library having all necessary facilities nad books.

What I didn’t like

The faculties mostly talk in local languages making it diificult for other State students.
The class timing is very hectic as we have to do classes from 8 am to 5 pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pursuing Bsc Agriculture provides numerous opportunities including both jobs and business. The Proffessors are well qualified and their way of teaching is very interactive. In one semester we have to give two exams including one mid term of 30 marks and one end term of 70 marks exam.

The course is superb and food nutrition dietetics is a booming sector. There is provision of 6 months of internship in the 4th year that gives hands on experience . Course curriculum is good with around 30+ subjects over the 4 years

What I Liked

College is full of greenery and cleaned, Faculties are well experienced and qualified with easily approachable. Provides students to show their talent in the university annual fest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum, The Course is designed by the ICAR, and these designated courses are taught in the university Academics, Academically Assam Agricultural University is one of the top Agricultural Universities in India and the one and only ICAR Accredited Institution in Assam. There are a total of 8 semesters and 4 semesters for Bachelor and Masters respectively. There are two examination systems in a year which include the Midterm which is conducted in the middle of the semester and the Endterm being conducted at the end of the semester. Faculties are highly qualified and well-experienced in teaching. They are easily approachable to the students. Scholarship is provided by the university under the State Government and ICAR Scholarship system.

What I Liked

The campus life is one of the best in Northeast with its annual fest being Aventine be the best. Along with Inter AAU sports meet is also the best

What I didn’t like

The hostels are not up to the mark with food being not that good. Placement facilities should increase.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Various courses such as Horticulture, agronomy, plant breeding, soil science, meteorology, statistics etc are taught in 4 years. Faculties are among the best in the whole North East. State Merit Scholarship and ICAR scholarship is provided every semester to meritorious students. Fees is very less compared to private universities.

ASSAM AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY (AAU)- ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

What I Liked

Annual fest where singers are invited and tech talks are held .
Classrooms are hygienic with ac facilities . Also there is student welfare group.

What I didn’t like

WASHROOM/ RESTROOM CAN BE IMPROVED MORE
AAU is located around 20 k away from Silchar city which maybe a drawback for students who prefer to study in urban areas.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I wanted my career to be a part of Agriculture Research and support the growth of India. The teachers and professors in AAU are extremely qualified and experienced . They have high degree like PHD and also are Researchers in Agriculture . The term exams are moderate - not too easy or too difficult . Its always easy for the students who attend classes and listens to whatever the Professor explains . The cost per year is 14,300/- for B.SC Agriculture course . There is also a Scholarship scheme for students names NTS (National Talent Scholarship) for students who come from other states to pursue this course who have a good CGPA in college .
