Some facilities are passed from the same institute but also there are many facilities from iits and big colleges passout with good research papers published. Teaching method is kind of old and rigid. But its manageable. We can also use labs of departments whenever we want even late night. For exams we have Two sessional exams of 10 marks , one midsem exam of 30 and 50 marks end sem. They are always on time. As per the schedule released at the starting of the year. For some subjects, like analog circuits or signals system, u can say subjects are vast only so there is always a certain type of difficulty with it. But overall from 2nd year exams will be easy to moderate but getting 9cgpa will be still tuff not impossible, bcz out of 65 students 9to10 scored 9 plus cgpa. First year will he very much difficult, lost of classes no free periods and difficult labs, but from second years things easens up a lot.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Read Full ReviewCourse curriculum is standard and up to date. The facilities are prominent academicians from different parts of India . The curriculum would be helpful for competitive exams and overall development of the student.
Different companies comes to the campus for placement. And students get placements. In BEd vivekananda KV school, Ajmal foundation super 40 , teach India foundation etc comes for campus requirement and provides jobs to fresh candidates.
Read Full ReviewAt the very starting it might feel a very hectic, but in the due course of time it becomes smooth, Mentors are alloted for a group of students, who are there whenever we need to confront. The faculties here are very good, personally I feel like they guide you like a friend, and free to share your doubts and questions.
Campus placement is offered, and it depends on the course you are enrolled in, somewhat around 4-5 lpa, one can expect as of a fresher and highest around 12-15 lpa. I'm planning for pursuing higher studies after the completion of my degree
Read Full ReviewIn Tezpur university i have choose B.Tech Mechanical Engineering course as per my JEE main score. Qualification of the faculty is good maximum professor are IITIAN. But few professors behaviour are not good with student . They don't try to understand our problem . In per semester we have to appear 4 exam(sessional 1,sessional 2 , mid term and End tearm
In b. Tech placement eligibility you must have 7.5 cgpa, and we must listet in top 20 . In mechanical placement are not too good only 10% student able to get placement. Compared to other departments.
Read Full ReviewGender studies is a difficult course to approach and also to understand because of its complex development in the society but this course makes a students overall growth in life i beleive and therfore i recommend students to opt for this course. Faculry is top notch and facilities are also good in the institution
The women studies centre is a very coming of the age course which has a diverse spectrum to it The collwge peovides a good campus and various other co curricular activities are provided too The university conducts a entrance exam followed by a PI and through the merit based students are admitted to the university
Read Full ReviewI choose this course because the course provide practical and skillfull Knowledge. Also the University enviornment is best among all universities in Assam, It has NAAC rank of 69 in all over India. Faculty Qualification is very High , most of the professors are well educated and from Top colleges from India. Some of them are also contributed in development of some real world research. exams are conducted Mainly Four Times. 1st sessional exam of 25 marks , Midterm of 40 marks, 2nd sessional of 25 marks(maybe of assignment), then endterm of 60 marks. all exams are important to get Good CGPA.
Palcements are come frequently but, only a few students are get placed . you also need to apply in off campus. in on campus comapanies like- infosys,TCS,TATA,OIL,IOCL,Cognigent etc are offers palcements. highest packages are upto 25LPA , lowest is 3 LPA, Average is 4-5 LPA. in Each department 10-20% are placed in On-campus, 20-30% are placed in Off-campus, 10-20% are pursue higher studies.
Read Full ReviewCourse curriculum is like it focuses on NET and GATE, which is good. But the way teacher teaches those is out dated. Like there is no good use of those high level syllabus ( I'm talking about in my case i.e. chemistry). Some teachers are there(1 or 2) who takes these exams seriously. Also the exams i.e. term exam is very regular. There is a semester schedule where the exam dates are mentioned before starting of the semester and the exam were held at that particular time. So overall its very good.
The environment, the campus, the hostel are very good. But tution fees is too much for a central university. And the schedule is too hectic. In a semester there are 4 main semester exams are conducted by the university and its too hectic for newcomers. Overall the education is good but too hectic
Read Full ReviewI chose this course because physics always fascinated me. Moreover, the faculties here are quite knowledgeable. The faculties have a PhD and have completed graduation from reputed institutions. They are quiet in their fields. Some teachers do their job quite well but some don't as well. Each semester four exams are held and the exams are not that easy. Since my admission, there has been no hike in the admission cost or even the yearly fees.
I have no idea as such since we, the students of sciences, do not usually opt for jobs right after our masters. We usually do our PhDs and it has its criteria and entrances. But as per my knowledge, the placement opportunities are not bad.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is a bit hectic with classes from 9.10 to 5.30 5 days a week and a lunch break of one hour. There are 4 exams held in a span of 4 months 2 sessional , 1 mid term and end term. The professors are mostly phd and have done thier masters from various iits.
Placement here us average .Most students opt for off campus placement . Almost 70% students here opt for higher studies than placement. However there are students who have grabbed psu offers off campus.
Read Full ReviewThe course itself is pretty useful and prepares individuals to appear entrance exams like IIT JAM, GATE, etc but the its also pretty lengthy and due to less time things feel hectic and frustrating. There are 4 exams in total 2 sessionals each of 25 marks and 1 mid term and 1 end term of 40 and 60 marks respectively. There is very less time to study before the exams and paper are often hard so its hard to score. Resulting in less cgpa but the question paper highlights the in-depth understanding of each topic helping in further studies. The fees is ok and as a general i am not provided with any scholarship.
It is of the best central university in assam and its maths department have provided the society with many capable individuals. Those the syllabus it vast and the time is less so it quite the rush but there are many good and highly qualified professors. From my time cuet was the entrance exam required to get qualified for the seat and we were the 1st batch appearing cuet. My percentile was 97% so i was good enough to get a seat here.
