Ambedkar University Delhi UG Admission FAQs
Ques. Will a Class 12 score of 78% compensate for a weaker CUET UG result when applying for BA (Hons.)?
Ans. Selection depends on your CUET UG score and rank, so strong board marks do not replace the entrance score. You may still have an opportunity in subsequent counselling rounds if seats remain vacant. Submit an application and participate in every round to improve your chances of a BA (Hons.) seat.
Ques. What should a BBA applicant do after receiving the CUET UG result?
Ans. Begin by registering on the university's admission portal. Submit your programme preferences and check the merit list when it is released. Counselling and document verification take place online. Having your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, identity proof and photographs ready will help you complete each step.
A relevant bachelor's degree and CUET PG participation are required for postgraduate admission. Graduation marks establish academic eligibility, while CUET PG scores guide selection for programmes such as MA and MBA.
| Programme | Duration and Specialisations |
|---|---|
| MBA | Study period: 2 years Options: General; Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development |
| MA | Study period: 2 years Subjects: Psychology, Environment and Development, Gender Studies, Comparative Literature, Economics, History, English, Sociology, Hindi and Political Science |

Ambedkar University Delhi PG Admission FAQs
Ques. Would a Commerce graduate qualify for MA Psychology with a strong CUET PG score?
Ans. A Psychology qualification at undergraduate level is necessary for MA Psychology. A degree in Commerce or another unrelated subject does not meet this condition. Even a high CUET PG score cannot make up for the required subject background, and the university can reject an ineligible application. Check the programme requirements before submitting your form.
Ques. Which PG admission steps can an applicant living outside Delhi complete remotely?
Ans. Registration and most counselling steps can be completed online. Keep scanned documents ready, but plan for any checks that require attendance in person. The university may ask you to present an original degree or migration certificate physically. Follow its instructions for each stage, as the entire process may not be remote.
For doctoral study, Ambedkar University Delhi considers postgraduate academic performance and qualifications such as UGC-NET with JRF, SET or GATE. A research proposal and interview form the main selection stages. The entrance score requirement depends on the subject and the admission guidelines for that year.
| Programme | Duration and Research Fields |
|---|---|
| PhD | Study period: 3 years Fields: Management Studies, Psychology, Human Ecology, Sociology, Comparative Literature & Translation Studies, Development Studies, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Literary Art and Mathematics |

Ambedkar University Delhi Cutoff FAQs
Ques. Could later counselling rounds help a BA Psychology applicant whose CUET UG score falls below the initial cutoff?
Ans. Popular programmes such as BA Psychology often begin with high cutoffs. Scores generally fall in later rounds when admitted students move to other universities and seats become available. An applicant with an average CUET UG result can improve their chances by taking part in all counselling rounds.
Ques. Should an MA Economics applicant with an average CUET PG score keep checking subsequent allotment lists?
Ans. Yes. High first-round cutoffs for popular postgraduate programmes can fall later. Vacancies arise when students withdraw or choose another programme. Checking the second and third rounds may therefore give an applicant with an average score another opportunity for admission.
Ques. How are hostel places allotted to undergraduate and postgraduate students?
Ans. Hostel accommodation is available, but the university has very few places, so getting a room can take time. Students from outside Delhi usually receive priority. Allotment also depends on merit and timely document submission. Apply early, as late applications can reduce the chance of securing accommodation.
Ques. What conditions apply if a newly admitted student wants to move to another course?
Ans. A course change is allowed only during the first week and requires approval from the university office. Vacant seats and your CUET score determine whether the request can be accepted. Seats fill quickly, and a score below the required cutoff will not qualify for a transfer. Only a few requests receive approval.
Ques. Which admission benefits are available under the university's reservation rules?
Ans. Government reservation rules apply to SC, ST, OBC, PwD and EWS applicants. Reserved category students also receive applicable marks relaxation. These rules continue from year to year. During counselling, you must produce a valid certificate for the category claimed; failure to do so may lead to cancellation of the seat.
Ques. Which marksheet should a UG applicant submit after taking a board improvement examination?
Ans. The university accepts improvement examination marks, provided you show the latest marksheet during verification. An older marksheet does not replace the updated record, and a delay in the board issuing it can cause difficulty. Keep a printout of the new result ready and upload the updated marksheet to the admission portal.

The college is a state government college and the fees is a bit on the affordable side. The faculty is well qualified and driven. They know what they are doing. Only written test required to get in is CUET. Cut offs for UR category is around 650 marks atleast

Read Full ReviewI took admission here in 2020. I did not have to appear for any entrance tests, GDs or interviews. However, after that, it has slightly changed. The university now considers the CUET score of the candidate for admission.
Read Full ReviewThis university has one of the best faculty and they admit on the basis of the Cuet score. It is compulsory to have taken general test in order to get into honors courses at this university. To prepare for the CUET, I would prefer solving competition booklets and work sheets and reviewing and going through all your 12th class learning.
Read Full ReviewYou have to give CUET in order to get admission into AUD. At first I wanted to get admission into DU, but due to issues with subject mapping, I couldn't get admission into DU. So my next option was AUD. In AUD I faced no issue with the subject mapping. The cut offs for this year in BA psychology were pretty decent. It was around 660+ in your overall score of CUET (out of 800) There were no prior interviews for AUD since it's a state government college. Overall AUD is a pretty decent college. The faculty is really good, and it's more academically oriented. You might feel that AUD is culturally dead since it has very rare events held in an year, but if you're an academically focused student, then AUD is the college for you. I've faced various issues with the management of AUD as they're sometimes very slow and unresponsive and you can even observe a lot of student union politics taking place within the university. But that's a normal part of it and can be ignored.
Read Full ReviewThe good aspect of the college is its faculty which are good at their job as professors the fee of the college although is very high and keeps on increasing but the fee waiver policy is a great help for the students as students belonging from ews can get their fees reduced and affordable even if they are from general category. The bad aspect about the college is its mess as the food their is unhygienic and also expensive because of which students have to visit out side for eating
Read Full ReviewSo, I chose this college for a particular course which is BBA and I had heard earlier that this university has its own curriculum and criteria. I gave cuet and through those marks, I got the admission. As far as I have come to know the course is pretty nice and the staff is very cooperative and helpful. The cut-off which I got through was around 380 something which included English and general test marks of cuet. There was no such interview process for admission. After my name came on the list I just had to submit the required documents and that’s it.
Read Full ReviewWell, I was a former student at AUD as I did my bachelor's from this college. AUD was recommended to me by my elder cousin's sister she told me that AID is really good for academics and for enjoying college life. AUD is a nice place to hang out with friends. Teachers are cool with you they do want you to speak up with them and have an open heart conversation with them. They're amazing. The thing that is not fulfilling is that we don't have our campus now but shortly, we'll have it. AUD's admission process is easy and simple. After performing at cuet I choose AUD because I love it here. Though only forms and online registration are their only demand here no interviews nothing else is required. You just have to look out for the cut-offs.
Read Full ReviewI initially got enlisted in Delhi University but I forgot to check the list and by the time I did, it was already too late so I had to opt for AUD. The admission process was pretty easy all you needed were the CUET exam results and some other eligibility criteria.
Read Full ReviewI have heard that Ambedkar University is good for BA students and I was not wrong the university is really good when it comes to teaching but has no cultural life whatsoever. I had to give CUET and meet the minimum criteria mentioned on University website to get admission. Everything else was pretty easy.
