GGSIPU Admission Dates 2026

GGSIPU has finished the main IPU-CET 2026 exam and regular online counselling stages for many courses. Some vacancy and reporting activities for the 2026-27 session are still scheduled through official university notices.

GGSIPU Courses and Fees

Across its university schools and affiliated colleges, GGSIPU offers more than 176 programmes. The Delhi Fee Regulatory Committee (SFRC) regulates fee structures, and the fees are updated through Delhi Gazette notifications. Major course fees are listed below for the full course duration.

MBBS fees in GGSIPU-affiliated private medical colleges are much higher than government medical college fees because these are self-financed institutions under SFRC regulation. For B.Tech affiliated colleges, the SFRC standardised the fee through the Delhi Gazette notification dated July 14, 2025.

GGSIPU Admission Process

GGSIPU uses IPU-CET, or IP University Common Entrance Test, for most courses. For B.Tech, BBA and MBA, the university does not use JEE Main, CUET or CAT as the stated admission route in this article. Seat allotment for university schools and affiliated colleges is done through one online counselling system.

B.Tech Admission (IPU-CET Engineering)

For B.Tech, GGSIPU prepares admission merit using IPU-CET Engineering scores along with Class 12 PCM marks.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with at least 45% aggregate
• Exam: IPU-CET (Engineering), held every year in April or May
• Selection: Combined merit based on IPU-CET score and Class 12 marks
• Counselling: Online preference-based counselling through the GGSIPU portal

At USICT, which is the most competitive school for engineering, CSE and IT closing ranks in the General category have usually been within the top 200 to 500 ranks. Affiliated engineering colleges generally have broader closing-rank ranges.

Law Admission (IPU-CET Law)

IPU-CET Law is used for BA LLB, BBA LLB and the 3-year LLB. Within GGSIPU, USLLS is the most preferred law school.

• 5-year integrated law: 10+2 in any stream with at least 45%
• 3-year LLB: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 45%
• Exam: IPU-CET (Law)
• Selection: IPU-CET merit list followed by online counselling

Management and BCA Admission

BBA and MBA seats are filled through IPU-CET Management. BCA admission is based on IPU-CET IT. USMS is the main management school of GGSIPU.

• BBA/BCA: 10+2 in any stream with at least 45%, with IPU-CET
• MBA: Bachelor's degree with 50%, with IPU-CET MBA

MBBS Admission (NEET UG)

For MBBS in GGSIPU-affiliated private medical colleges, admission depends on NEET UG scores. Seat allotment is carried out through MCC AACCC counselling and state-level Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) counselling for GGSIPU quota seats.

GGSIPU Placements

The Central Placement Cell at GGSIPU manages recruitment support for university schools. Placement activity is strongest in USICT for IT and computer science, USMS for management, and USLLS for law. Results differ by school and by affiliated college.

For 2024-25, USICT reported the highest package of INR 27 LPA and an average package of INR 6.69 LPA. In the same placement season, USAR recorded an average package of INR 6.11 LPA.

During the 2024-25 season, USICT had more than 70 companies taking part and received 187 placement offers. Recruiters mainly came from IT services, BFSI and e-commerce. Many USLLS law graduates choose legal practice, corporate law firms or civil services instead of regular campus placement.

GGSIPU Rankings

GGSIPU appears in several NIRF 2025 categories. Its best category result is in Law, where it is placed among the leading institutions in Delhi.

In NIRF 2025 Law, GGSIPU is the 3rd ranked university in NCT of Delhi. Its A++ grade NAAC accreditation from 2023 is another major quality marker for a state-funded affiliating university in Delhi. The NIRF Engineering ranking reflects the university school, USICT, and not all affiliated colleges.

GGSIPU Campus and Infrastructure

The main GGSIPU campus is at Sector 16C, Dwarka in West Delhi. Students can reach it through the Delhi Metro, including Dwarka Sector 10 and Dwarka Sector 21 stations on the Blue Line and Airport Express Line. The campus has the university's central administration and several university schools of studies.

GGSIPU functions as both a teaching and affiliating university. Along with its main campus schools, it has 111 affiliated institutions across Delhi NCR. Students in affiliated colleges study on their own campuses but follow the GGSIPU curriculum and examination system.

• University Schools: 13, including USICT (IT), USMS (Management), USLLS (Law), USAR (Applied Sciences), USBT (Biotechnology), USCAS (Architecture and Planning), and USAHSS (Humanities)
• Affiliated Institutions: 111 across Delhi NCR, including 83 self-financed institutions and the remaining government and aided institutions
• Programmes Offered: 176+ across university schools and affiliated institutions
• Hostel: Hostel facilities are available at the main campus and at selected affiliated institutions

Since its establishment in 1998, the Dwarka campus has added modern academic and student facilities. It includes lecture halls, computer labs, a central library, sports facilities and student amenity centres across university school buildings.

GGSIPU Scholarships

GGSIPU supports eligible students through fee concessions, institutional financial aid and government scholarship schemes. These options are meant for students who meet income, merit or category-based conditions.

Students apply for EWS and Merit-cum-Means assistance through the GGSIPU Samarth portal during admission. Government scholarship applications are handled through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

GGSIPU vs Amity University vs Jamia Millia Islamia

Students considering GGSIPU for B.Tech, law or management in Delhi NCR often compare it with Amity University Noida and Jamia Millia Islamia. Amity University Noida is a private deemed university, while Jamia Millia Islamia is a central university in South Delhi.

GGSIPU has the widest college network among the three, with 111 affiliated institutions across Delhi NCR. Jamia Millia Islamia has much lower fees because it is a central university and has a stronger NIRF record in engineering and social sciences. Amity University Noida offers a private residential campus experience with international exposure, but the fees are higher. The better choice depends on the course, fee budget and campus preference.
