NIT Goa Admission Update
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in engineering. BTech is its main undergraduate course, with a first-year and annual fee of INR 1.47 lakhs, a total programme fee of INR 5 lakhs, and 224 seats across five specializations:
- B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering

BTech Eligibility Requirements

- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must have been studied in Class 12.
BTech Admission Process
- JEE Main marks are used for the first stage of selection.
- A valid JEE Main score allows an applicant to take part in JoSAA and CSAB counselling.
- Seat allotment follows the JEE Main merit rank and the seats available at the institute.

Students with a positive JEE Main score must complete the JoSAA counselling process as follows:

MTech Admission Process
- GATE marks decide the initial shortlist.

Ques. Which records must BTech students bring when reporting to NIT Goa?
Ans. Students must upload the required files to the MIS portal and bring the original documents for verification. The main documents are:
- JEE Main admit card and scorecard
- Provisional admission letter issued through JoSAA-2024 or CSAB-2024 after payment of the PAF
- Class X certificate or birth certificate, along with the Class XII marksheet
- Transfer, study, and character certificates from the institution last attended
- A government photo identity document, preferably an Aadhar card
- Medical certificate prepared in the JoSAA Annexure VII format
- Three passport-size photographs
Applicants should also carry the following category documents when they apply:

Remarks:
i have given JEE to get admission into this college. i want to do BT.Tech in either of NIT or IIT but my main focus is to be in a good branch , thats why i chosed NIT GOA ECE(electronics and communication) branch as its the most coolest branch and mostly offers the highest placements. in my time for obc criteria the cut-off to get ece branch in NIT GOA is around 94% to 96% percentile. and i got 97.5 percentile. i took coaching to clear JEE with good ranking .

I wanted to join in some IIT or NIT so based on the counselling I got NIT goa. There were no such things as GD or interviews the only thing for entrance is JEE exam once we clear that and sit for councilling we will get IIT NIT OR IIIT based on the score in JEE

My Branch. I got ECE here at 96.4%tile with an EWS rank of around 6000 in JEE mains. Placements are fine and it is around 100% for my department. I got admission here through the CSAB 2nd round which is held after JOSSA rounds.

The admission process is similar to other NITs, JEE mains and Josaa counseling decide the college and branch, opting for this college will let you get admission in this college if you clear the cutoff marks and rank of that year.

Remarks:
I chose this college as it has a tag of National importance and the placement and location are also quite good. To gain admission one has to clear JEE mains and then go through Josaa counseling where they may get this college or any other NIT based on their rank.
