NIT Goa B.Tech in 5 specialisations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

• Admissions are also granted through CSAB counseling for special rounds.
• NIT Goa offers admission based on Home State Quota for 50% seats and the rest 50% will be filled by the Other State Quota Policy.

How to apply for B.Tech?

Candidates appearing for JoSAA Counselling will be required to register at the NIT Goa online portal. Candidates can only register at NIT Goa by the following steps.

• The candidates are required to visit the official website of JEE (Mains).
• Register for the entrance exam before the deadline.
• Fill the registration form.
• Submit the required documents.
• Pay the application fee.

NIT Goa M.Tech program is offered in 3 specialisations namely, Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI, and Power Electronics and Power Systems.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates are required to secure qualifying marks in GATE.
• Candidates must qualify for B.E/B.Tech with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% for OC/OC-EW/OB. SC/ST/PwD candidates can qualify for B.E/B.Tech with a 6.0 CGPA or 55%.

• The candidates are required to qualify for GATE.
• CCMT will conduct the counselling process for qualified students.
• Merit will be prepared by CCMT.

How to apply for M.Tech?

Candidates must appear for CCMT Counselling for admission in the M.Tech program. Application fees for OC/OC-EW/OB candidate is INR 2,500 and for SC/ST/PwD candidate is INR 2000. Steps of application are mentioned below:

• The candidates are required to visit the official website of CCMT after the declaration of results of GATE.

NIT Goa PhD programs is offered in various departments such as Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Applied Sciences, and Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

• For Ph.D. in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering the candidates are required to secure at least 6.5 CGPA in the relevant discipline or 60% in M.E. or M.Tech. program in a relevant discipline. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to secure at least 6.0 CGPA in the relevant discipline or 55% in the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
• For Ph.D. in Department of Applied Sciences, and Department of Humanities and Social Sciences the candidates are required to secure at least 6.5 CGPA in the relevant discipline or 60% in Master’s degree in Sciences or Humanities or M. Tech. in a relevant specialization. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to secure at least 6.0 CGPA in the relevant discipline or 55% in the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

• The candidates will be able to secure admission based on GATE or UGC NET scores.

How to apply for PhD?

• The candidates are required to fill out the application form online from the official website of NIT Goa i.e www.nitgao.ac.in.
• The candidate must attach a crossed demand draft (INR 500 for General and OBC, INR 300 for SC/ST candidates)
• The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Director NIT Goa ” payable at Ponda, Goa.
