NIT GOA's review

What I Liked

i like its infrastructure as the campus is newly build in January 2024, so its new and attractive with greenery around it.
all the faculties are polite and helps us in study as well for personal problems , its good to have such nice teachers
the college is good in events also as we used to have a lot of events inside our campus on different occasions

What I didn’t like

the thing i dislike is the ground which should be a football instead they pour sewage water in it making it smell so bad to unable to play in it
the classes are a little hectic as of 3rd semester as of from monday to friday we have full day classes from 9 am till 5 pm including labs
the college is newly built so we don't any good stationary or market near us
the vacations for holi and diwali is not there, they just give holiday for 1 day, which every student is upset of.

Placement Experience:

eligibility criteria are different for different companies, most of the companies ask for CGPA more the 7.5, top companies for CGPA 8+ while some companies also allows students with 7 CGPA also. the highest package till now is 44LPA while the average package is around 8 to 10LPA 80 to 90 %age students usually gets placed in placements rounds my plans is to get is high paying job with not much hectic schedule having CTC minimum 15+LPA

Remarks:

i have given JEE to get admission into this college. i want to do BT.Tech in either of NIT or IIT but my main focus is to be in a good branch , thats why i chosed NIT GOA ECE(electronics and communication) branch as its the most coolest branch and mostly offers the highest placements. in my time for obc criteria the cut-off to get ece branch in NIT GOA is around 94% to 96% percentile. and i got 97.5 percentile. i took coaching to clear JEE with good ranking .

NIT Goa review: academics, campus life and more

What I Liked

College infrastructure is Great and it’s a beautiful campus, NIT Goa has been awarded as a Green Campus last month.
Faculty are supporting and ready to help us 24/7. All the faculty are well experienced and also have industrial experience so they explain the practical issues along with the academics

What I didn’t like

WiFi inside the Hostel is really bad and the mobile data is zero. Administration is working on improving this issue
Currently the playground is filled with water. The administration says it will take time to drain out all the water. Because of this students are not able to play games and have to go to other private grounds to conduct college competitions

Placement Experience:

The CGPA should be above 6.5/10 to sit for the placements The visited companies are Infosys, semens etc Highest package for my program was 24LPA and average package was 9LPA For my program the placement percentage was 96% My plan is to sit for the placement and grab a job

Remarks:

I wanted to join in some IIT or NIT so based on the counselling I got NIT goa. There were no such things as GD or interviews the only thing for entrance is JEE exam once we clear that and sit for councilling we will get IIT NIT OR IIIT based on the score in JEE

Little more about NIT G.

What I Liked

Infrastructure is Good as the campus is newly built but there is need to improve sports facilities and sports infrastructure. .
Faculties are good and helpful and Some also provide guidance in class as well.

What I didn’t like

sports facilities, Canteen Food (because I'm North Indian)

Placement Experience:

Placements and Job opportunities are good for those who are able to score a good CGPA. Eligibility for Campus placement is 6.5 CGPA. Students also get On-campus internship offers. In circuital branch there is 100% placement. You can check more info on the official website.

Remarks:

My Branch. I got ECE here at 96.4%tile with an EWS rank of around 6000 in JEE mains. Placements are fine and it is around 100% for my department. I got admission here through the CSAB 2nd round which is held after JOSSA rounds.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after reaching the last year w is the 7th semester, various companies visit for placement, including Samsung, Adobe, Nvidia, etc. The average package lies around 12LPA and the highest at 25LPA, and last year around 200 offers were given across all branches. For the circuital branch, the placement percentage is around 90+ and lower for noncircuital branches. Many students opt for higher studies after completing the course

Remarks:

The admission process is similar to other NITs, JEE mains and Josaa counseling decide the college and branch, opting for this college will let you get admission in this college if you clear the cutoff marks and rank of that year.

The best NIT among young NITs: NIT Goa

What I Liked

The new permanent campus is just awesome it is huge with all the facilities needed, be it library sports facilities and everything else.
The hostel is good as the now have single occupancy room for every student, this provides personal space to each student where they can upskill without distraction.

What I didn’t like

I do not like the mess at the college as they fail to maintain the hygiene and the taste is also pretty bad.
Due to the campus being a new there is not that huge alumni network which results into less contact into industries and affects the internship of the students, this is improving day by day.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after reaching the last year which is the 7th semester, various companies visit for placement, including Samsung, Adobe, Nvidia, etc. The average package lies around 12LPA and the highest at 25LPA, and last year around 200 offers were given across all branches. Remarks:

I chose this college as it has a tag of National importance and the placement and location are also quite good. To gain admission one has to clear JEE mains and then go through Josaa counseling where they may get this college or any other NIT based on their rank.
