The duration for B.V.Sc and A.H. courses delivered by the University are 5 ½ year's. The period of 5 ½ years even includes an internship which is of the duration of 1 year. The eligibility of the course is 10+2.

 Eligibility Criteria 

The basic eligibility criteria students are required to fulfil is to aggregate a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 with the prominent subjects being Chemistry, Physics, Biology/ Biotechnology and English from any comprehended board. 

For other categories including SC/ ST/ Person with Benchmark Disability, the minimum percentage to be aggregated is 47.5%. 

Selection Criteria

The various selection criteria the candidate needs to keep in mind are:

• The candidate who has qualified for the entrance exam, as well as the eligibility criteria, will be required to have a counselling session.
• The age of the candidate should be 17 years on the 31st of December of the year of admission.
• The eligibility criteria mentioned should be fulfilled with complete evidence on the date of counselling.
• The Vice-Chancellor of the college has the right to cancel/neglect the admission of any nominee with a written reason provided.

With the B.V.Sc and A.H. course offered by the college, the college also offers B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons.) and B.Tech courses. These courses are available for candidates in the undergraduate stage. The courses are available for the candidates for 3 years, 3 years and 4 years respectively. It also put up a B.Tech course in Food which is also a 4-year long course.d

Different fields in which the B.Sc course is offered include Life Sciences,(Zoology, Botany and Chemistry), Physical Science, (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics), Hotel Management and Hospitality. 

B.Tech. offered under Food Technology. B.Sc. (Hons) is offered with Agriculture and Community Science.

Eligibility Criteria

• For pursuing B.Sc Course, the candidate is required to have PCB (Life Sciences) or PCM (Physical Sciences), with English as a core subject in 10+2. 
• For pursuing B.Tech/ B.Sc (Hons.) course, the candidate is required to aggregate a total of 50% in 10+2 level, with PCM/PCA/PCB and English as a core subject. 

Selection Criteria

• Candidates will be assigned the seat based on performance in the entrance exam, followed by counselling conducted.
• In the case of subjects such as Biology/Agriculture/ Mathematics, the calculation of merit will be done while considering the one with a comparatively higher score.
• The candidates relating to SC/DA/ST will have a relaxation of 10% on the marks aggregated in 10+2.
• Male candidates are allowed to apply for B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Sciences undertakings.

Points to keep in mind for PG Courses

• The candidates should keep in mind to fill in their priorities for the Master’s course. The choice of discipline for the specialization depends on the options selected by them and can be practised during counselling.
• 75% seats are reserved for Kashmiri Migrants, HP Bonafide, in-service nominees, NRI/Foreign Nationals, Sports/Co-Curricular Activities, Fellowship Awardees candidates and Self-financing candidates.
• Relaxation for 5% is provided for in-service candidates belonging to the General category and 10% in the case of SC/ST/DA candidates.

Points to keep in mind for PhD Courses

The following thresholds should be kept in mind before applying for PhD course:

• The candidate will be required to attach the certificate of completion of eligibility criteria and should be submitted including the OCPA/OGPA/Percentage marks.
• The applicants who are already enrolled for a Masters degree program up to the academic year 2016-17 can enrol themselves for PhD program complying with the respective eligibility criteria.
• Relaxation for 5% is provided for in-service candidates belonging to the General category and 10% in the case of SC/ST/DA candidates.
• The number of seats and compunction of seats for the Masters as well as PhD courses is determined by the Academic Council.

How to Apply for CSKHPKV 

Candidates can apply to the university in two modes, i.e. Offline Mode and Online Mode. 

The steps to apply through the Offline Mode are:

1. Download and Print Out the admission form of the University from the official website of the university.
2. Further, the candidates have to fill the form with the necessary details and attach the required documents.
3. Now, the candidate posts the documents at 'Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur (H.P.)- 176 062” at SBI, HPAU- Palampur (code 0003632) or at Palampur'.
4. Another option is to submit the document in person.

The steps to apply through online mode are:

1. Candidates have to visit the official website of the University.
2. Fill the form and attach the necessary documents.
3. Pay the application fees at the final step. The application fees for the General and OBC category is Rs.2000 and for Sc/ST/Persons with Benchmark disability is Rs.1500. 
4. In case the candidate is NRI/Foreign Nationals, the application form must be replenished manually and submitted with all the self-attested documents and application fee to the “The Registrar, CSKHPKV, Palampur, H.P., India.”

Documents required 

The documents required to be attached with the registration form are:

• 3 copies of mark sheets of Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees and actual documents for verification.
• 1 copy of the medical certificate and actual document for verification.
• 2 copies of income certificate (for a fee waiver) and actual document for verification.
• 2 copies of caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC) and actual document for verification.
• 3 scanned copies of mark sheets of high school with passing certificates and actual documents for verification.
