IIT Indore was set up in 2009 as an autonomous public university recognized by MHRD. In NIRF 2024, it ranked 33rd in India in the overall category and 16th for B.Tech. B.Tech and M.Tech are its flagship programs.
B.Tech admission is through JEE Advanced rank followed by JoSAA counselling. M.Tech admission uses GATE scores and COAP counselling. M.Sc admission is through IIT JAM, while PhD admission is based on an entrance exam and personal interview. For the General category, the JEE Advanced 2025 Round 1 cutoff was 1628 - 10500, the GATE 2024 cutoff marks were 455 - 500, and the IIT JAM 2025 Round 1 to Round 3 cutoff was 46 - 370.
The first-year fee is INR 2,99,400 for B.Tech and INR 1,14,600 for M.Tech. Scholarships include Central Sector Scholarship for SC/ST, Samsung Star Scholarship, DAAD Scholarship, Commonwealth Scholarship and others for students from low-income families. As per the IIT Indore NIRF 2025 report, the 2023-24 median package was INR 19,48,000 LPA for UG and INR 10,00,000 LPA for PG. At UG level, 331 students qualified and 234 were placed. IIT Indore Admission 2026
IIT Indore admits students to UG, PG and doctoral courses through national entrance exams and counselling rounds. For B.Tech, students must qualify JEE Main first and then take JEE Advanced. Seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling.
For M.Tech, M.Sc and MS, admission is based on GATE for M.Tech/MS and IIT JAM for M.Sc. Students then take part in COAP for M.Tech/MS or CCMN for M.Sc.
For PhD admission, applicants fill the online form on IIT Indore's academic portal. They also submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letters of Recommendation (LOR). Shortlisted applicants are called for an interview, which may be held online or in person.

IIT Indore Campus & Facilities
IIT Indore has a 501.42-acre campus. The institute shifted from its rented premises and became fully functional on this campus in October 2015. Facilities include equipped lecture rooms, a spacious library, a large auditorium and a central mess where students choose among three rotating caterers every month.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was interested in Space stuffs but did not want want to take Aerospace , so I took Space Science and it was the only option other than that. The course curriculum is relevant but they should add more space applications course like Image Processing. The faculties here are very knowledgeable, helpful and highly skilled. But some of them have really bad teaching skills and behaviour. There are mainly 2 exams, mid-semester and end-semester which are mostly tough and depends on the subject too. And between there are quizzes , assignments, projects , etc which are manageable and have medium to easy level of difficulty.
Placement Experience:
Placements are pretty decent in our college. The placement season starts from 7th semester. The eligibility criteria is different for different companies like some companies prefer 8+ CGPA with advanced coding skills and projects while some consider 7+ CGPA too. Some of the companies include Google, DE Shaw, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Quadeye, BNY Melon, Texas Instruments, etc. Top roles offered are Software Engineer, Data Scientist and Quant Analyst. Talking about last year, the highest package availed was around 2 Crores per annum which is great and the average package was around 20 lakhs per annum. Out of all students, 88% of them got placed and this number is increasing year by year. Now, after completing my course, I would mostly go for higher studies in abroad.

the course curriculam is very clear and resonable and the faculty is verified all are phd scholars the faculty did so many reserchs on their domain the teaching method of them is really unique and the exams will be once in 2 months and the papers vary from moderate to difficult.

the general eligiblity for campus placements is based on our cpi and the package was given on the basis of the skills our priveous recruiters are google ,samsung ,TCS ,microsoftetc 68 LPA is highest package 25.45lpa is average for b-tech and 89.76% students are placed

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum designed by the administration here is very extraordinary and is a bit interesting too it is designed in such a way that the students here may not get bored by this curriculum .
Placement Experience:
The placements from IIT INDORE are excellent and the campus is having a very good placement rate and the highest package of campus is 1.2 cr and the average package is about 25-30 lakhs and the median package is about 20-25 lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum of Master of Science (Mathematics) is the following: In the first semester, I studied five courses: Real Analysis-1, Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equation, Probability and Statistical Methods, and Discrete Mathematics which were for 17 credits. In the second semester, I studied five courses: Analysis-2, Complex Analysis, ALgebra-1, Computation Techniques, and Partial Differential Equations which is for 19 credits. In the third semester, I studied 6 courses and did M. Sc. Research Project Courses. The courses were Functional Analysis, Topology, Operations Research, Numerical Analysis, Algebra 2 and Probability Theory. In the fourth semester, many electives are going to be offered by the department. Some of them are the following Theory of Transform, Special Function, Numerical Linear Algebra, and many more. In a semester, we have to write 2 quizzes, the mid-semester exam, and the end-semester exam.
Placement Experience:
No, I did not sit any placement recruitment. Most of the master's students go for higher studies like PhD, M Tech. Some students also go abroad for a PhD. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. from here itself. Research opportunities are good here.

Course Curriculum Overview:
This was the couse suitable according to my rank in JEE Advanced. I would definitely prefer any higher branch or course such as Computer Science,Electrical or Mathematics and Computing. And who wouldn't?
Remarks:
This was the college suitable according to my rank in JEE Advanced. This college was also ranked 9th among IITs in last year NIRF ranking just under the top 7 IITS and IIT Hyderabad. But I was hesitant to choose a lower such as Civil,Chemical,MEMS in better colleges. So i chose Mechanical in IIT Indore.

Course Curriculum Overview:
i Chooses Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science because i have diversity of topics in these field for Research. Psu through Gate and Oncampus. Faculty Supportive , Encourage student to do better , Encourage for Research (does not force). Most of the Faculties are Phd from IIT's or some Foreign University. Some Faculty are very good in Teaching while some are good in filed but not good in explaining things. Teaching Methods is either from ppt or writing on Board and Explaining. Exam Schedule mid and end semester , For Spring Semester ,starts with January mid semester is generally scheduled around last week of February and End semester is scheduled around first week of May.. Internal Marks- scheduled Quiz , surprised Quiz , Viva, Assignment generally Carry 20-40 % of total marks depending upon faculty . Difficulty vary with subject and faculty it may be that difficult of Jee Advance or may be as easy as Board Exam.
Placement Experience:
This Placements is not started yet , but few people from CSE and EE get Pre Placement Offer , around 60 people ,and avg package is around 35 LPA , Recruiters are - Oracle, Google, De Shaw , Qudeye, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Cred, BNY , Walmart ,Accenture etc. 2025 batch Placement Recruiter till now Excluding PPO - Accenture Japan, Google, Zomato, MathWork, Samsung, DataBricks, Texas Instrument , SEDEMAC , Deloitte, UKG, Axtira, Optum, Versa, HPCL, BPCL, Godrej , Accenture. Placement is Just Started. Most of the high Paying companies opens for Circuital Branch CSE, EE . but other also has chance if he/she can grab. like google , zomato ,like companies open for all branches. - CPI criterial - most of the company have 7+ cpi , and No active backlog , few also have 8+ . - Avg Package(not exact) i. CSE- 30LPa+ ii. EE- 20LPa iii. Mechanical, Civil and Metallurgy is around 13-15 LPa

Course Curriculum Overview:
Academics is good as the curriculum this institute follows resembles that of so called Gen-I IITs'. IIIT Indore is considered as a Gen-II IIT. But academically it's nowhere down to those old reputed IITs'.
Placement Experience:
Internships and placements are quite good this year and the previous one. Institute made something different even during recession. Most of the branches have 90+ percent of students placed. Reputed companies like Quadeye, Samsung, Google were major recruiters.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I want to be a civil engineer and this is the right place as here the lab materials ,the professors ,the T.As are all best and with phd degree . Mid sem exams are conducted in 1.5 months after starting of semister and end sem after 1 month 15 days after mid sem. Exams are relatively graded so if it is hard it is hard for everyone and so marks will be graded like that
Placement Experience:
Placements and job opportunities are good here .the criteria to sit in campus placements is to keep cgpa above 8. Google ,nvidia, tata, etc. highest is 64lpa and average is 12lpa. About 85% are placed.out campus placements are also there. Apply for it and people also go for higher education after completing btech.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is very comfortable and informative with a learning perspective. I chose CSE due to the high-paying jobs in tech and my interest that was already existent in coding. Faculty members are highly qualified. Each holds a Ph. D. degree from any of the IITs in their respective branch, and is a passionate researcher working on projects and holding other Ph. D. students under them.
Remarks:
The college is an IIT, and it is a very open ground to learn almost anything in technology with engaging professors and student clubs. A competitive coding and learning environment exists which bolsters the spirit of the joining students every year. typical admission method for IITs is followed: Qualifying in JEE Main followed by clearance of qualification and securing a good All India Rank in JEE Advanced.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum for me was based on an old academic structure which was based on an old education policy where I had restricted opportunities but now when I see my juniors they have a lot of freedom to study any subject they want to study. The faculty is ok.
Placement Experience:
My college is rather more research-oriented instead of a placement. They want students to excel more in the research side and academics to want students to go ahead in the research area. Students though can have an amazing placement if they are in Computer science or electrical branch.
