Placements are mid , my seniors got placed in various companies, and last year a seniot got placed in google with 20LPA i guess , the average package is low but the placement cell is trying to bring companies

Gov placement they do provide placements, but only 50% gets placement every year, but they are good luck from government placements with good amount of money in one or two private company comes every year. They also select two or three people, but overall the placement is good as I heard from the seniors.

Placement in my university is not that good most of the students are not placed. We have find the job after completing the course. Few companies visit the university like Amazon, Dell, Indian army, Accenture and so on. The highest average package in the university is around 3.80 LPA . Mostly the students who are good and excellent in the study are getting good placement and offered from different companies. My plan after my degree is going to be tough but I will be appear for competitive exams.

For BTech,mtech and MBA department get employment every year but for other departments it depends on the department's career counseling services....but don't worry university will make you eligible for any employment opportunities

The placement in the university is decent not very good and not very bad. Nearly 50-60% students get placed from the university. Companies like Amazon, Apple, Flipkart, Indigo, Pursuit software and other IT companies visit in the university. Highest package is nearly 15 lakh per annum. Average package is 4 lakh per annum. My plan is to go for higher studies after getting the degree.

Placement comes overall not department so I can't assure you a complete Placement but yes Placement is available from which you can choose according to which fits in your resume and where can you apply.

The placement and job opportunities are not that good in our department in different departments. It’s good the packages are also for us. Very few placements are available and those are not up to the level, especially for our course. Most of the students go for Master and some of them go for other jobs in a sense related to our Branch only but the university keeps working on improving the placement cell of our department. There is a placement cell person for the entire SOT SOT stands for School of technologies.

Taking up an MA in English at NEHU or anywhere else opens up possibilities mainly in Education, Academia, or Publishing. By appearing for and qualifying UGC NET the possibilities can be broadened but there is still a strong competition you need to overcome. PhD is the ideal way to go and with a JRF stipend of up to 40k, this is a good track to follow. Going for assistant professor jobs on the other hand can fetch a decent 38k-50k in private institutions. I am planning to do my PhD and continue in academia as I believe the effort and my genuine interest in the subject will be put in the right place that way.

Eligibility for placement should match according to their age, course, and PI. Go somewhere Shillong, SUDESCO, and Courtyard Shillong are some of the recruiters. Every year there are recruitment 30k per month to 60k per month. 30-40 percent of students get placed. My plans after completing this course is to go HR in travel management

The placement cell is very bad, there is no placement they only give hope, and only 5% of students get placement from campus. For IT students some companies come and packages are between 3.5 LPA to 8LPA. And for the other department, You have to find the job by yourself. After completing the degree I got a job in my domain from off campus.
