Manipal University Jaipur Admission Dates 2027

The 2026-27 admission process at MUJ has ended. For the next admission year, the university has indicated that MET 2027 registration will begin from January 2027. MBA and law admissions follow separate schedules linked to accepted national entrance scores.

Manipal University Jaipur Courses and Fees

MUJ has more than 200 programme options through 9 schools and 4 faculties. B.Tech fees are divided into two fee groups, with branches such as CSE and ECE placed in the higher fee group. The amounts below are total fees for the full course duration.

M.Tech is available in 8 specialisations at MUJ: AI and ML, CSE, Cyber Security, Data Science and Engineering, Energy Science and Technology, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Structural Engineering, and VLSI Design and Embedded Systems. The 3-Continent B.Tech CSE course includes one semester each at international partner universities. Its total fee is INR 7,70,606, and students must pay extra travel costs separately.

Manipal University Jaipur Admission Process

B.Tech and B.Arch Admission

For B.Tech, MUJ considers MET (Manipal Entrance Test) ranks and JEE Main scores. Students from Rajasthan can also use REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) for state-quota seats.

• Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with PCM and minimum 50% aggregate
• Entrance: Valid MET rank or JEE Main score; strong JEE Main scores may allow direct admission
• B.Arch: 10+2 with Mathematics and a valid NATA score or JEE Paper 2 score
• Application: Online through jaipur.manipal.edu, followed by MUJ counselling rounds for seat allotment

Branch allotment in B.Tech depends on MET rank and JEE Main percentile. CSE is the most competitive branch, followed by ECE and AI and ML. Civil and Chemical Engineering usually have lower cutoffs. Diploma holders in a relevant branch can apply for lateral entry to the 3-year B.Tech route.

Law Admission (BALLB, BBA LLB, LLB)

MUJ law courses are backed by the university's NIRF Law rank of 32. Admission is based on CLAT score or the university's own law entrance test.

• BALLB Hons eligibility: 10+2 in any stream with 45% aggregate
• LLB eligibility: Graduation with 45% aggregate
• CLAT score is the main selection factor for high-ranking applicants

MBA Admission

MBA admission at MUJ accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, and MET PG scores. After shortlisting, applicants attend a group discussion and personal interview at the MUJ campus.

• Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks
• Work experience is preferred for MBA (General), but it is not compulsory
• MBA Business Analytics needs at least 1 year of work experience or a quantitative-focused UG background

M.Tech and PhD Admission

GATE scores are used for M.Tech admission at MUJ. PhD admission is offered in 40 plus disciplines through a written research aptitude test and interview, conducted twice a year.

• M.Tech eligibility: B.Tech/BE in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks
• PhD eligibility: PG degree with minimum 55% marks, or 50% for SC/ST/PwD students
• Industry-sponsored and part-time PhD modes are offered in all departments

Manipal University Jaipur Placements

In the 2025 placement season, MUJ reported the highest package of INR 64 LPA, an average package of INR 8.2 LPA, and an overall placement rate of 94%. Engineering and computer science branches contribute strongly to the highest salary figures, while management, law, and design students follow their own hiring tracks.

Recruiters visiting MUJ come from technology, consulting, BFSI, and core manufacturing sectors. Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, JP Morgan, Bosch, and Philips are confirmed recruiters. CSE and ECE students receive the strongest placement results. Manipal University Jaipur Rankings

MUJ moved up in all listed NIRF categories in 2025. Architecture showed the biggest rise, moving from 33rd to 21st in India. The University and Engineering categories both improved from 64th to 58th, while Law reached the 32nd rank nationally.

Manipal University Jaipur Scholarships

MUJ provides scholarships at the time of admission and during the course for eligible students. These include merit-based awards and government schemes for reserved-category and economically weaker students.

For central government scholarships, eligible students can apply through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in. For state-level schemes, students can use the Rajasthan Scholarship Portal at sje.rajasthan.gov.in. M.Tech students with a valid GATE qualification receive INR 12,400 per month from the Ministry of Education, subject to continuation rules.

Manipal University Jaipur Campus and Infrastructure

MUJ is spread over 122 acres at Dehmi Kalan, 30 km from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway. The campus provides a residential university setting with academic, hostel, sports, and student-life facilities inside the campus.

The academic setup includes separate school buildings for engineering, architecture, management, law, design, and health sciences. Students also use centrally managed research labs, a digital library, and an innovation and incubation centre. MUJ has AICTE-recognised facilities such as an instrumentation lab cluster, central computing infrastructure, and prototype development workshops for design and engineering students.

Hostel accommodation is available for boys and girls. The annual hostel fee ranges from INR 1,81,470 to 1,98,300 for both genders, based on room type, and includes room, utilities, and basic amenities.
