Placement Experience:

The placement is good in our college but it is tough to get a placement in college a lot of companies visit in the college but they took very few students in the company. Average package is in 7 8 lpa and highest is 15lpa.

Remarks:

I chose this college because of its reputation and my interest in computer science. Being in a women's college i think it was more comfortable and safer then other colleges. It was good in infrastructure and for extra curricular.

Placement Experience:

There's a very active placement cell in Miranda House. They host seminars, webinars every now and then. Placement cell has a site where every student has a profile and they keep on posting information about internships. Many renowned companies have been to our college like Patym, McKinsey etc. The highest package of this college is 25 lakhs per annum and the average package is 5 lakhs per annum. A lot of students have been selected from the college. Many students have been a part of Niti Aayog internship as well. I wish to prepare for upsc after completing my graduation.

Remarks:

In order to get into Miranda House, one has to take cuet examination. The syllabus of cuet is same as class 12th. Cutoff for this college goes very high for humanities courses. For general category, the Cutoff for the demanding courses goes around 750+ out of 800. For program courses, cutoff goes a bit less as compared to honours courses. In order to prepare for cuet, one should read class 12th NCERT thoroughly as the questions in the cuet examination is multiple choice based. I chose this college because of its strong academic background and its rank 1 position for seven consecutive years. Miranda House is known for making strong women. The infrastructure of the college is surely commendable. The lawns, green lavish gardens steal the show. College should focus on the wifi connection. Rest this college is an amazing institution to shape young women.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I preferred Geography as it has a practical subject which I find very interesting and it's quite factual subject, a bit scientific subject like the physical geography is related with so many scientific theories. And in this subject, you don't have to fill so many pages for answer writing in exams, if you're covering all the contents in only two or three pages, you'll be given as much marks as answers of 5 or 6 pages. You don't have to do rote learning in this subject, just understand all the processes and terms. And the faculties of Geography department of my college are so experienced. They have knowledge of other subjects too. They teach us geography by relating it with other disciplines too which makes the subject even more interesting. The faculties have done lots of reseach and have expertise in their subjects. The questions in the exams are based on the syllabus designed by the university only. You should have a look on pyqs and ask the professor the important questions.

Remarks:

After having a discussion on what subject and which college to choose from school teachers, relatives, friends, seniors and having a little research about college from online sources, google, you tube, etc, I came to a conclusion that Miranda House has the best faculties of Geography, the course I want to apply for. And that helped me to keep this college on my first preference. Miranda House is the topmost college of Delhi University. Being a top college, it's everyone dream college. The faculties are so good. They act like friends more than the teachers. They are very supportive and in the times of practical or viva, they will help you the most. They will guide you and tell you the best you can do in your life. The admission process is through CUET only and the cut offs may vary as per the number of students giving exams. Because miranda house is number 1 college, due to its demands and tough competition among students, the cut offs are generally higher than other colleges.

Placement Cell of Miranda House is very active in bringing job opportunities and internships for the students. Every year the highest package sores up to lakhs with companies like DW shaw and Co, Accenture etc coming for the placements.

Remarks:

I gave CUET-Objective Questions based test to be eligible for Delhi University Counselling. And I chose Miranda House over other colleges as the crowd is inclusive, vibrant, bold and diverse. It is competitive but welcoming too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I decided to pursue Eng Hons in Miranda house because of its academic excellence and vibrant culture. Miranda house is girls college as we know and it's perfect place to grow for opportunities, character development and internships. The faculty members are really kind and helpful. The professors are not just knowledgeable but also passionate about English, and it shows in the way they teach. They give us extra knowledge and extra readings to understand our topic fully. Notes are provided and they also takes tutorials for each subjects. Presentations and tests are part of our Internal Assessments (IA) marks, so we stay actively involved in learning. We have to give exams after every semester, there are 2 semesters in 1 year. 1 semester exams was in january and 2 semester exams will be held in June. We have to give 3 core subjects written exams and additional subjects exam. Exams are not that much difficult, many questions are repeated from PYQs.

Remarks:

When I first applied in DU, political science was my first preference in the list but I got English honours in Miranda house instead. The cut off was so high this year for all the subjects. The highest cutoff for english honours was 770. To take admission in Delhi University each student have to give CUET exam. And to get addmission in North campus colleges above 750+ is a safe score for General category and for SC quota I scored 643 in CUET in exam. The addmission process is easy we will be given the allotted seat according to our preference list by DU. If the student wants to take admission in that course they will submit the fees and their seat is confirmed and if they want to look for another college they can upgrade the list and wait for 2,3 allocation rounds. No I didn't face any discussions or interviews for admission. Only CUET exam was in written mode this year (2024). For SC and ST the seats are reserved for them.

Placement Experience:

Yes, there's placement cell at Miranda and it is really active. A lot of students got placed at very renowned firms and they are really happy from their placements. Placements depend upon the resume and the skills of an individual that's what a good firm needs to hire.

Remarks:

Yes, I've appeared for Cuet ug. I've prepared along with my boards and ace the exam and got into one of the best women's college of India. I filled my preference sheet very accurately that's why I got into my dream college and I'm really grateful for that.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell works on the placement I've done 2 internships personally. It was a bit underpaid But it was good at a start I wasn't eligible thou as I was a first year student But due to my good resume they took me

Remarks:

Factors: 1) CROWD: crowd is very important factor while choosing college, you have to spend 3 years with the same crowd and this period of your life is the make and break personality period, so you better be with a good crowd 2) bad aspect is that it is a women college, but still opportunities are A LOT as it's a very renowned college so you get to explore alot of different arenas. But still, co-ed are way better in this but still there is a lack of comfort, peace as it is there in Miranda house Cutoff for science courses are 520+/600 if you are a general category student (biology group). For mathematics background, it goes way low upto 320+, so you have a good chance. You need to attempt CUET for the same.

Remarks:

This is an all girls college which is really great for our safety . The course curriculum and the faculty of the course is incredibly good for the development of a student. This college is among one of the best colleges in the delhi university. We had to give an entrance exam for admission and only the meritorious students were able to get a seat in the college. The rankings and the safety of the college made me opt for the course in this particular college.
