Placement Experience:

The SSN College of Engineering has a specialised Career Development Centre which focuses on the personal development of students. It focuses on nourishing the skills of individuals through training and development for better results in the on-campus placement drives. Most companies have an eligibility criteria of no standing arrears and minimum 7.5 CGPA The major companies that visit the campus for hiring purposes include: Bosch, Titan Company Limited, Adani Group, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Google, HSBC, Amazon, Microsoft, Hyundai Motor Company, TVS Motor Company, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, and others. Packages vary from 3.5 LPA to 25 LPA. Highes was 84 LPA AND Average was 3.5 LPA. 90% of the students will get placed and I was Placed at Isuzu Motors for 5.5 LPA

Remarks:

Bad thing is there is threat of snakes and insects and good is infrastructure and facultiws. For government quota where i come from they calculate cutoff. Cut off = (physics mark + chemistry mark)/2 + maths mark. So for 200 you should be atleast 190+ to join ssn if general. I was obc and i my cutoff wad 189 so i got mechanical at ssn. For management quota you have to write enterance exam mostly aptitude test and clear interview to join.

Placement Experience:

Placements are reasonably good but not upto the mark this year because the quality of students have surely reduced and moreover there is less support from the college side too. Big companies did visit but the number has reduced . Companies like Avalara,HCL , cognizant, Comcast, valeo, ashok leyland and many other have visited but most of them were for IT and for civil core it was a very less number which was disappointing because people who want to enter core dint get any help.

Remarks:

My admission process was completely done through online but now it is offline and the cut off has also increased for all the departments. The minimum cut off expected is around 192-200 . The government quota has no special entrance exams but management quota people have to write an entrance exam and also clear the interview round.

Placement Experience:

For placement the basic criteria is no active backlogs during the placement process. Otherwise we can't even apply for the company. The placements have reduced in drastci number. Non core companies are where most of the students get placed. Students who have just received internship offers are also counted as placed and the number of students placed have been increased Average package is about 8-10 LPA and the highest was 21 LPA. Most of the companies are of IT and for other core department like chemical and civil there are very few companies which is a very sad thing. I have planned to go for higher studies after my degree so I am not attending anu company interview

Remarks:

As a passout during the corona the cut off was too high. I basically wanted a reduced fee structure so I chose this college as it was reasonable for the government quota .The management seat requires us to write an entrance exam and then followed by interview . The exams consisted of basic level aptitude and 12 th syllabus. In the interview the questions were about very basic general knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured. There are periodic internal assessment tests and which includes the part of final evaluation. These tests also help in facing the semester exams confidently. Faculties are supportive.

Remarks:

Our admission was during Covid period. So the entire process was online. Initially there was an online assessment test. If qualified then there was an interview. I qualified for interview which was held online. The results of the interview was announced through email. Now the process is physical mode. There would be an assessment test and face to face interview. Preparing for JEE helped me clear the assessment round. I chose this college for better placements.

Placement Experience:

The placements and job opportunities at SSN are excellent, with a strong track record of top recruiters visiting the campus each year. The College's placement cell plays a crucial role in preparing students through workshops, mock interviews and skill-building sessions, ensuring they are industry-ready. Eligibility Criteria may vary for company. So i would advise you guys to have at least 8 CGPA and with no current backlogs to make yourself eligible for all the Company. The special feature is you can have one offer in dream, super-dream and marquee category. The most Promising Recruiters that visited for my batch is Motorq, Fidelity Investments, Rocketlane, CITI, BNY, Natwest, Barclays, M2P fintech, Amazon, Nvidia, Paypal, DEShaw, General Electrics, TCS, CTS and more with around 400+ offers issued and still counting. Then highest package offered is 50LPA by DEShaw. Around 90 to 95% of people opted for Placements will be placed for sure every year as many companies will come.

Remarks:

I was first drawn to SSN College of Engineering after seeing it featured in films like Enai Noki Paayum Thotta and Needhane En Ponvasantham. The college's cool campus and freedom it offers to its students really caught my attention. Over time, I grew more interest in it, and these factors, along with its strong academic reputation and excellent placement records, played a key role in my decision to choose this college. For admission under the management quota, I participated in an entrance test followed by an online interview. After successfully clearing these stages, I secured admission to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the teachers here have pursued phd from iits and mostly iit Madras, highly qualified staff and very good curriculum. I chose mechanical as it was core branch and as I had no interest for computer or coding side courses.

Remarks:

One of the top rated colleges giving equal importance to sports and academics they have good placements and good faculty members they also have a lot of scholarship to waive off fees to the maximum extent for many students , yes I went through aptitude exam and personal interview to get admission here.

Placement Experience:

The most average highest package is above 12 lakhs per yaer and the average lowest package is 4 lakh per year. The visited recruiters are Zoho, Tcs, HCl, Mckinsey, catpillar, voltas these are few. The most of the students are get aleast one offers from placement if they prepared & have required academics. The 90% students who opted placements will get placement.

Remarks:

The good aspects of the college are they encourage the students in sports, other activities like music, dance, singing and those who have cinema passion. The aluminis of SSN in sports, cinema & other activities for example indian cricketer R ashwin & director Pradeep ranganathan. The bad aspects of the college is Placements because most o the company are management not related to core engineering. But placements for IT & CSE is awesome. The merit students selected by cut off. The required cut off in SSN is 191- 199 according the Courses. The management quota students have to write exam and attend face to face interviews. The is no recommendation in SSN.

Placement Experience:

The main eligibility criteria will be CGPA . For computer science and IT departments it will be 7.5 cgpa and for electronics and electrical departments it will be 8 cgpa . The few visitors are DeShaw .co , Fedility, Ashok Leyland , Citi Bank and PayPal.

Remarks:

There are two modes of admissions one is through councelling and other is through management quota. The councelling process is the general TNEA process . For management quota we must initially apply for the college, based on our cut-off we will get an interview letter to attend the aptitude and interview exam. Based on our aptitude and interview performance we will get an admission offer .

Placement Experience:

Placements are good and bad at the same time, internships though are insightful it helps you tell where you stand among your peers, placements though the highest salary is 1.17 crores per annum, it's very limited but they offer a very real-world experience where they lack in a place where they consider you marks for management roles sometimes and don't test the expertise but yaa that's fair can't blame them.

Remarks:

The factor that made me choose this college is the engineering-specific curriculum which is very much on the technical side of things, yes I had an interview after qualifying for an admission test, and the interview was more like a personal interview where you look for what you are up to in life.
