Dislikes
- College hostel life is so boring. Permission required to go home or other places.
- Hostel food is not so good. Students usually dislike this.
Remarks :
Ramakrishna Mission vidyamandira scored 17th rank in NIRF ranking in India. You must need to pass in the entrance exam and Viva to get admission here. You must need to prepare for the entrance exam. Questions for entrance exams are mainly 12th standard so its not so difficult.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed industrial chemistry department in Ramakrishna Mission vidyamandira because of good placement and faculty.Faculty members are highly educated from the top institutes of India. There teaching methods are also very good and modern. There are six months gap between two semesters . Semester exams are not so difficult .
Internships Opportunities :
Students must have to participate in internship programs , basically in industrial chemistry department and internship program is Must. Students used to complete their internship in many industrial fields like cement industry ,paint industry, steel industry etc.
Placement Experience :
Good job opportunity and placement available in our department. SGPA should be more than 8 to get the placement. Constable is package is about 40000 to 60000. About 60% students got placement here every year. Many companies like ACC cement ,Ambuja cement, Asian paint, Nerolac etc used to came here for requirement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees that we have to pay is about 72000 including lab fees and other compulsory charges. And admission fees is 16400. No extra charge required for any category (like SC ST OBC). Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum scholarship is available for the students as an financial aid . Students used to get 18000 per year as per the scholarship.
Campus Life :
College campus is beautiful decorated . Library ,gym ,sports ,club playground everything is available here . Every year annual sports occurs in the month of February. Students of all semesters can participate annual sports .
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are also good. Hostel food quality is not so good . Usually fish and egg dish is available for students. Registration process required to stay in hostel . As it is a residential college so rented room or PG not allowed here.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
