The primary reason for choosing this college is for its quiet and study friendly environment that it offers. Set away from the chaotic city noises and having the river Ganges at its Side, the ambience is very peaceful and supportive. Other major pros of this college is that there is no scene of ragging or bad behaviours of seniors. The seniors are very friendly and cooperative. There is an anti ragging cell that ensures that no ragging or such crimes are committed in the college campus. Strict discipline is maintained in the college premises and students seldom break schedules. This makes working and studying much more synchronised and effective here. Talking about admission, there are admission tests taken to observe the eligibility. Each subject has its admission tests arranged from the respective departments. The cut off reaches very low around 7 marks in the 50 marks test. There are also an interview taken. The syllabus is the respective subject syllabus in class 11 and 12.
Physics had always been my love, an i always wanted to study theoretical physics. The faculty members are very well qualified here. Some of them are very famous and highly qualified in their respective fields. The semester exams are arranged two times a year generally with a gap of 5 to 6 months between them. The even semesters receive a less gap of about 5 months, but the odd semesters have 6 months generally to prepare for. The teaching methods are very efficient and student friendly. There are class assessments arranged after the completion fo every module.
I have recently opted for an internship ant IIT Kharagpur. Internships are very easily available here since the departmenta themselves arranges for our internships and we don't' have to look for our own.
Placements and job opportunities are less since this is an undergraduate college offering honours courses. Though there is a placement and career counselling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered in few subjects. The rate of placement are very high and come with high packages. Though i am not looking for placements after the completion of my course, but the eligibility for placements depend on the subject and the field. Good results however always brings good placements and job oppurtunities.
Monthly, I pay 1500 for my tuition fees, a part of which includes the laboratory fees. That makes ot 15000 in a year, excluding two months that are holidays. During admission I had to pay an amount of 16000. Every year, a session charge of 3500 has to be paid. I myself do not get any scholarship, but scholarships such as Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, INSPIRE Schoolarship ranging from 12000 to 60000 are available. No hidden fees are there. The fees structure is very smooth and concessions are available for different classes of students. Tuition fees for other subjects do not exceed 25000 yearly.
Life at campus is very peaceful. Here you'll find peace in your mind and the campus feels like a home. There are dedicated study hours and play hours which makes life so much smoother and enjoyable. More over the strict routine builds discipline and integrity. Since this is a residential college, we stay at hostels. Each room consists of around five persons, this build our social life as we can mingle with various classes of people and from various regions.
This is a residential college, so you have to stay at hostels. Hostel are provided with no extra eligibility tests and every student must stay in hostels. The hostel accommodations are very good and cozy. The mess is superb. The menu includes daily fish and egg, with occasional chicken once a week and delicious afternoon tiffin.

Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
