- I especially like the college campus here because it is very peaceful and pleasant to go there.
- Another thing I like is the college here because it is decorated with many flowers all around it, which is nice to see all year round.
Dislikes
- New flowers and trees are planted here every year so that the beauty of the college is maintained throughout the year.
- The classrooms here are always clean so that there are no distractions during classes.
Remarks :
Here you have to give an entrance exam and a viva, and if you pass both, then the admission date is given. Admission here is very good for making a good grade, that's why I chose this college.And the exam system and timing here are very good so that the exam can be given easily without any problems.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Apart from gold, other types of courses are also offered here. The arrangements for studying here are very good. All the colleges here manage the money very carefully so that no one has any problem.It is mandatory for everyone to do something different here in addition to studying.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, every department here conducts internships in the last semester of the 2nd year and allows you to do internships in the subject of your choice. And with that, we have the freedom to choose the location we want and to do it at our convenience and with our interest.
Placement Experience :
Job opportunities are good here after completing the course. This system is especially beneficial for boys from the science department because they get the opportunity to apply to many companies immediately after completing college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Here, each course of the college charges different fees. There is a hostel here. There are many good news and accommodation facilities at a low price. In addition, there is internet facility here. Each department is provided with separate internet and there is a gym, playground, etc. A separate charge is taken for this, which is included in the college bill.
Campus Life :
Here you have to stay in a hostel, which means you get to interact with people from many different places. We get to mingle with everyone, eat together, pray together every morning and every evening.The study system here is very good, very calm environment and everyone studies together.
Hostel Facilities :
Here, everyone is given a hostel room on the day they are admitted to the college. And the college and mess bills are paid separately. Here, average quality food is provided for a very minimal fee.There is no separate application required to get admitted to the hostel and the rooms can accommodate up to 5 people in a room. The rooms are perfect for 5 people.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
