- Not having enough time to do some other activities.
- The less interaction with other colleges make us less aware of what's going outside.
Remarks :
The hostel residence is an isolating space where you can study and living with friends make it easy to cope up with stress. However it's a bad thing that we don't get the exposure of outside so we miss out on programmes, seminars, other curricular activities and exchange programmes. Yes there was held a written examination and an interview to become admitted.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My aim was to flourish my intellect with the knowledge of arts. Literature guided me through it. The professors are polite, helpful and we all have good connections with them. They scrutinize your write-ups, makes things easy for us to understand and overall they're great human beings.
Internships Opportunities :
I've heard students get into Tata consultancy services and Into various industries. I've not opted for any interships because the college timing is constricted. We have to get into hostel in 5pm so its hard doing an internship. However, I've heard computer science department gives proper contacts to help students figure out their own way. Actually, every department has their own guides, they guide us through.
Placement Experience :
The industrtial chemistry department provides placement. The computer science department also capable of connecting you with companies but I'm not aware of other departments as such. Most students get placements. As I'm in English, I'll go for Masters programme. Or maybe into journalism
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I pay hostel fees of 1200rs per month Mess charges of 2900rs per month College charges of 900rs per month One session charge of rs 3200 Exam charge of rs 600rs two times a year I get scholarship, the Swami Vivekananda Merit Scholarship of 12000 rupees per year.
Campus Life :
The life in hostel is one of the key aspects of this college. We enjoy a lot at times. From jokes to discussions we had it all covered. The library is great too, you can suggest if you need some book in the library. The classrooms are quiet throughout the day. Students study with no disturbance in their mind and ears. There are no such clubs but we collectively do things like going on a photo walk or to watch and analyze movies. Etc. College conducts a freshers which is named "Vidyarthi Brata" once a year.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is good but it varies day to day. The quantity may upset some people. The odd food timing is what upsets me. We have our lunch at 9:20am and the next meal comes at 4:00pm and we have our dinner at 9pm. Students have a hard time in between that. However, this is a residential college so the administration puts students in their own order. T

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
