Remarks :
Admission to all IITs is through JEE Advanced, so it was less of a choice but more of a chance to get this college depending on my rank. The JoSAA counseling. JEE Advanced is a 6 hr computer based test, I also cleared the qualifying exam of JEE Advanced, the JEE Mains. I didn't face Group Discussions or Interviews.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As described previously, I didn't fully choose this course. Faculty are highly qualified with a strong research background with multiple publications, teaching of method is mainly on blackboard or through PPTs. There is minimum one midsemester and one endsemester examination, apart from this 2-3 class tests, and depending on course- viva, lab tests, assignments, presentations and report submissions are also among many modes of evaluation. Difficulty levels vary across departments and course, for my department I can say difficulty is between easy to medium.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for a intern yet. Companies that offer internships in campus: BCG, Bain & Co, McKinsey & Co, Deloitte, Piramal Pharma, HUL, P&G, ITC etc. Companies come for almost every domain possible from Finance, Software Engineering to Data Analyst to Consultant to Product Manger etc.
Placement Experience :
Every student in their final year are eligible for placement. Some past recruiters: Google, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Adobe, Accenture etc. For placement, these companies give around 6-7 offers, with total around 1200 last year. Highest- 1 cr+ for Quantitative analyst role and average around 20 LPA. For my department around 60% of students got placed last year. My plan is to sit for campus placements and get a job in my domain of interest.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise fees: INR 280000 Per semester: Tution fees-100000 for my category, caution fees- No category of this type as per my knowledge, Registration fees- 1000, Admission fees- 25000 one time, Lab fees- 200, other charges (gymkhana, hostel, mess, electricity, water etc)- around 25000 For SC/ST/PwD or other socio-economically backward category- Tutions fees is 0 but other charges are same.
Campus Life :
Annual Fest- Spring Fest, Tech Fest- Kshitij, Month- January-February Library is among the largest in India with books or journals from all fields and domains. Classrooms are well equipped with seating, sound systems, presentation board, projectors, central AC etc. Sports and extracurriculurs is a big part of campus life here. Annual Sports fest- Shaurya. Extracurriculurs is a mandatory 1 credit coure for the first 2 years, they inckude NSS, NSO, NCA, HnF etc. Social group- CRY, GYWS: Clbs- KDAG, B CLUB, 180 DC, ProDex, AGV etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality is neither good nor bad, just edible, Menu is very diverse balancing food requirements of people from every region of India, as the campus is very diverse from people from every corner of the country. Registration is combined with semester fees on our ERP portal and need not be done seperately, though it varies each semester a little, it mostly remains in the range of 15000-20000. I have not rented a PG.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
