The Pharmacy department runs advanced pharmaceutical laboratories and holds a national position with its NIRF Pharmacy rank of 47. The National Centre for Accelerator-based Research is being developed with a 3.0 MV pelletron accelerator, the first such facility in Central India, to support work in physics, material sciences, and nuclear applications.
The campus has 8,256 students, including more than 5,800 undergraduates. Hostel facilities are provided for students coming from outside Bilaspur. The central library supports all academic disciplines and gives e-library access to major international databases through UGC-INFLIBNET. Students looking for centrally funded universities in Chhattisgarh and nearby Central India often compare GGU with Central University of Chhattisgarh (CUC) and Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (DHSGSU), Sagar, MP. These universities follow CUET-based UG and PG admission routes and serve students who want government-funded higher education in the region.

The courses here are good enough but sometimes the schedule is not that great there is no frequency in exams I like the internal exams however semester exams always take place on time. I choose biotechnology because it's one of the top field in biology for graduation purpose plus. also demanding and progressing field. The faculty here are qualified enough holding many different qualifications and awards and their respective research. The teaching here is basically based on lectures using smart classes through presentation. Sometimes there is also arrangement of seminars for the students together knowledge about industries respective of the subjects that are two internals per semester and semester exam. The exam is not that tough if the student has the it well you can easily crack all the exams and get a good mark.
There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

Read Full ReviewMy course was MA in English and there is a huge Department of it in the campus with around 7 to 8 faculties and 2 staff members. They help us with everything. The exams were done timely and it was very strictly organised with the vision of examination Department. There is no partiality or lack of supervision in the exams.
The placement and job opportunities are less in Arts programs. They are slowly improving it but still as compared to other colleges you have to find your own job after the degree here. Many students in the English Department are suggested to go for PHD after completion of masters.
