Microbilogy Admission fee is more than 25000 in other colleges under Calcutta University like In Ashutosh College it is like 32000 But In Maulana Azad College the fees is only 2250 . Our college arrange extra classes for competitive exams as well as there are placement options after graduation.class environment is also very student friendly. There was group discussion, and several class tests during the course.

This college is a pure government college and only co-ed fully government administrative college in Kolkata, West Bengal. The reason of choosing this college was the minimal tution fees with quality education. The tution fees is nearly 1500 Rs only per annum where other govt sponsored colleges are taking nearly 20K-40k per semester. Also there are 7 phd holder professors in my department and the intake capacity is very low so the lab based works is done very efficiently. Some other factors to choose this college was that the college has high reputation in terms of academics it is a DBT star college with Star status, CPE Status, NAAC grade A. I didn't face any written test or interview for admission to this college. The admission process was purely based on the merit according to the marks of HS Examination. Microbiology department is one of the highly reputed department of this college. If someone wants to join he or she have to score more than 90% (UR), above 85%(Reserved Category)
