Moment of choosing Maulana Azad College.

What I Liked

I mean as it's an government college there is no need for asking anything like water purifiers or desktops.
We have a good computer lab in our department.

What I didn’t like

I think the boys washroom should be upgraded
It should have at least few societies and clubs.

Placement Experience:

No there is no campus placement, internship offers comes only for commerce and finance students. Every one either take preparation for government exams of opt for masters. I am thinking of doing MBA after my graduation.

Internships Opportunities:

No i haven't opted for any internship how could i say anything about it i have already mentioned it earlier that our college doesn't have any internship of placement offers for science groups i mean i am speaking of CBCS students. I don't know about NEP students.

Why you should and shouldn't select Maulana Azad College

What I Liked

The people. They're very friendly and acceptable.
Academics. You can learn so many things by the help of the faculties.

What I didn’t like

The college campus is too small so that's definitely a problem.
Absence of fests, ground, playing equipments etc.

Placement Experience:

There are no solid placements available in the college as it is a general degree college but despite this, the college has a Placement cell which invites several companies to conduct interviews and helps students to get a job. I'll go for a Masters.

Internships Opportunities:

No I haven't opted for any internship. But anyone can try for internships on their own and if the college has some news about internships they will inform the students. For the new CCF curriculum 1 year internship is compulsory and that'll give the students something to experience.

Review for Maulana Azad college

What I Liked

I like the faculties they are too good and supportive
Education quality is also good. Highly recommend.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is old and unclean. Need to be hygiene.
The hostels is only for muslims, other religions students will face this problem.

Placement Experience:

It's a government college. So campus placement is not available. But if you have a greater cgpa than you with a good subject like statistics, mathematics, or zoology, then you will get a job outside of the campus.

Internships Opportunities:

I opt for an internship at an Indian statistical institute. It's a paid internship but knowledgeable. where we attend multiple lectures. Explore multiple factories like gun factories. Then we analysed our collected data.

What I Liked

Top notch faculty,well trained teachers.
Nice infrastructure,good and nice campus life

What I didn’t like

Placement opportunities and internship opportunities
Only minority hostel for boys and no hostels for any one other than minority

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are very less. My plans is to go for higher Eligibility criteria for placements is graduation.Companies like Redbus,TCS Bps come for recruitment .percentage of student getting job will be less as most of them go for higher education.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted for any internship yet.No internship opportunities available from the college end.students need to go off campus opportunities for internship. Only NSS programme is run in the college in which students can take part

Maulana Azad College: Heart of Calcutta University

What I Liked

1. Professors are very helpul and supportive just like parents.
2. Admission and semester Fees are very low

What I didn’t like

1. Campus is not that much big just like a building .
No whole Colllge Fest department eise students organize fest and functions
Small Canteen smalll area is the only main cons of this College

Placement Experience:

This college don't offfer placesment cell . Actally academically it is best . You have to choose placement on your own. Academically one of the best college under Calcutta University. If you take admission you will be impressed

Internships Opportunities:

No dont. Do it right now . Will do a intership. College and university offers a lot of interships. After the NEP 2020 syllabus internship is a mandatory thing of every courses . So Internship will be fery much helpful for students

What I Liked

Teachers, their way of teaching, library.
Student friendly campus, infrastructure, discipline and inter college competition.

What I didn’t like

They should work on smart classrooms as well as increment of numbers of classrooms
They should start some new departments like computer science.

Placement Experience:

After graduation one would take placements.several companies come in the placement.and placement cell is working to do better job. Though a less number of students get placements as others pursue their masters.

Internships Opportunities:

No I've not opted for any internship as I'm continuing my masters degree. But there are a lot of internship options and opportunities available with our college. And students would get chance to work on some projects as well.

The reality of Maulana Azad College

What I Liked

The thing which I like most about the college is the campus.
The faculty are very helpful and the infrastructure of the college is ancient type.

What I didn’t like

They don't have the lift facility but I think it should be there .
A few classrooms are air conditioned but most of them are not.

Placement Experience:

The college placement cell conducts many placement drives and some big companies like Amazon, TCS, come for recruiting the students. The average package is around 3.5 lpa A few percentage of students got the placement. My plan is to pursue MBA after this course

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't done any internship form the college. But they offer many internship.some if them are paid and some are non paid.they got a lot of projects and the task of them are very interesting and knowledgeable.
