I got 96% in jee mains and being a other state general candidate, the only option I was getting in NIT was this so I choose th only. Though I would have choose a state government college but national level institute has its own importance.

The most important factor for choosing this college is it's environment. The people here have all qualified jee mains, so they provide nice environment which feels very competitive. No, for entering this college you need to clear jee mains exam with 95 percentile at least for general whereas sc st can enter with 85 percentile too.

To get the admission in this college for the Btech course one needs to attempt the JEE -MAINS by NTA exam and then needs to secure a rank for which this college is available. For the admission one should opt for the JOSAA counseling (6 rounds)and then there are two additional round which are spot rounds (CSAB counseling). After the counseling with respect to one's rank colleges are allocated , SO there are two consecutive exams JEE MAIN and JEE Advance and if one succeed rank in JEE Advance then one have chance to get a college in the IITs. One need to give exam with their 12th or drop (Two drop is allowed for NIT but IIT allowed only one drop ). One need to have the wealthy knowledge of Maths, Physics and Chemistry. One should go for the foundation course and with the dummy classes task are easier but time is precious and one need to opt for the best teachers available to them.

It's actually the mistake that land me here I just fill the counselling on basis of college ranking and cutoff not by veryfying them and I put this college on top, my biggest mistake till now. The only way to get admission is th. rough joosa and csab counselling

Jossa and jee main score are the main factors for choosing this college. I choose this course beacuse it was the best option i could get from jossa and best thing about course is you get lot of time to prepare for other things I wish professor were not biased and should indulge in placement process. Earlier events were superb but from last year professor are takeing over control and making events hard to conduct and not supporting students. Crowd is huge for this small place and connectivity is good because campus is situated in city. No i didn't face any group discussions, interviews or wrotten test for admission.

The seat for Btech programme in NIT Raipur is alloted by Josaa counselling for which we have to write JEE Mains examination. According to different quotas, same branch is alloted across various students. For a general category student of outside state, 19500-23500 rank is required for Electronics Branch. For home state 34000-40000 rank is needed. The ranks keep on increasing numerically as we apply quotas. Some people with PWD quotas even get into the branch with lakhs as high as 800000. Even though campus area is statistically 85-100 acres. The college feels small due to its poorly planned construction. There are only two big academic buildings out of which one is for architecture students and other is for all other programmes (Btech, Mtech, pHd, MCA) So yes students of all branches share the same building. There are more than 20 clubs. Hostel scene is extremely bad and is full of reservation. There is only 1 grocery shop, 1 dairy, 2 cafes, 1 Restaurant inside college.
