We should appear for jee advance examination and clear the cut-off marks in each subject. The admission process is in online mode through jossa and it is a easy process . Main the choosing of this college and this branch is fully based on my rank scored in examination. For this branch in this college the obc rank cut-off would approximately 5700. And general rank would be 19500. It is tough exam because we should clear all subjects cut-off of marks.

As for my rank this college is best and I also considered some seniors from this college before admission.The good aspect is my college is nature which you can enjoy ,we have many gardens in the campus which are stunningly beautiful and you will find peace in those gardens and trees.The bad aspect from my opinion is the building as my campus is very old which is build in 1926 the buildings are a little old and they are constructing new buliding as for now.

No there was no interwiew only jee advance test score were enough. But one.need better rank. For PhD mtech one need good gate score or should be from IITs mba and msc are also offered so for them interview is done.

IIT tag was important and i was getting a decent branch in this old iit. Old iit definitly means more alumni network which helps, there were no interviews etc. I got it through jossa after clearing jee advanced.

This was the best college and branch i could get at my jee rank (AIR 7613 ). Good aspect of the college is it has good infra, there are elevators and wending machines in each hostel/departments. IIT (ISM) organizes 2 fest annually (Srijan and Concetto). Bad aspect which i would say is the location . Nearest airport is Kolkata, and Durgapur. Mess food is not at par with other IITs

To choose this college the main factor is IIT and it is a prestigious college and it has a legacy of 99 years that is going to complete its 100 years in 2026. It has good placement stats and professors are good. To get into this colege ,you have to clear JEE Advanced exam and go through jossa counselling(it does councelling for all IITs IIITs NITs and some other collages).The administration is very strict and the campus feels little smaller however its another campus is proposed and is going to be functional in near future, faculties are good but some profs are very strict specially from CSE and ECE departments.I have prepared from Allen KOTA u can prepare by self study also , for more information must research for JEE Advanced Exam.
