Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Admission is offered for various UG, PG and Doctoral courses like B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Tech, etc. For Under Graduation level of Examination, Punjab Agricultural University conducts CET ( Common Entrance Test ) followed by counselling. Admission to BTech is based on the score in CET, except for BTech (Agricultural Engineering), for which a valid score in JEE Main is mandatory.
Admission to Integrated MSc is based on the scores obtained in Punjab Agricultural University Common Entrance Test. For admission to MTech, MBA, MCA (regular + lateral entry), MJMC, and MSc programs, Punjab Agricultural University conducts the Master’s Entrance Test (MET) for each course individually, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round. Students with a valid score in CAT need not appear for MET-MBA conducted by Punjab Agricultural University and sit directly for the PI. Ph.D. admission is also based on the scores obtained in Punjab Agricultural University Written Test and a PI round. Although, ICAR-qualified candidates are directly eligible for the PI round.

The main factor was how cheap the fees were. We only had written test for admission. The test was not that hard and once we passed the faculty called us and explained about the cources, placement and free structure.
Read Full ReviewI personally chose this college due to my interest in agriculture sciences and it is a reputed institute which is well known in India as well as abroad, so it made easier for me to make the choice. moreover, it was in my hometown. Pre-covid, our college used to many tours and travels as part of learning journey, and i was excited to experience the same, but unfortunately this was not the case with us, as many trips were canceled during our batch time. The written test for the admission was on the basis of JEE and CET. The cutoff for the engineering college is around 200-250.
Read Full ReviewThe admission procedure for UG courses proceeds via a Common Enterance Test (PAU-CET). The syllabus is same as NEET/JEE and can be prepared well by referring to ncert books. There is an overall cutoff which allows candidates to appear in the counselling session. Ranks are allotted based on CET marks and is followed by counselling which is held in 3 rounds. Students are called upon for admission based on their ranks in the CET according to which seats are filled. PAU focuses greatly on academics which is a great advantage for students as well as researchers. It also offers a wide variety of courses which incline to the agricultural background.

Read Full ReviewYes I gave the entrance test for admission into courses offered in the Punjab agricultural University. I prepared for the exam through my coaching institute. Overall my college has very nice ambience. It has lots of lush greenery throughout the campus. Classrooms are well maintained and are air conditioned. Teachers are very supportive and teach really great. We are also taught carpentery and machinery work under the human resource development. We are often counselled by our teachers to remain focused and productive throughout our college life.

I had a 285 rank in CET based on 12th and eligibility is 50 % in 12 th. No further interviews are taken. Cut-off generally varies from 150-290 for my course.

Benefits of choosing PAU - Best faculty in India in the field of agriculture. -Good infrastructure for the students. -well equipped laboratories. -good scope for career. -Better accomodation facilities for students. - seminars by international scientists and professors. Things need to be improved:- - Air conditioning in lecture rooms. -Security of bikes and Vehicle is less due to high outsiders. -Markets area need to be improved. Any student willing to join PAU can join by entrance test of AAT and CET AAT exam is conducted by University after 10th class and university offer 6 year integrated course to students (in case of AAT EXAM) CET EXAM is conducted by University for addmission after 12th exam. STUDENTS PREPARING FOR NEET AS WELL AS JEE CAN GIVE THE EXAM FOR THE ENTRANCE IN THE UNIVERSITY. A councelling session will be held by the university after the result of CET and NEET.
