GRE score card is valid for 5 years from the date of taking the test. Candidates planning for post graduate studies abroad need to submit their GRE score report along with the application. The three modules of GRE score card are Math, Verbal Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The total GRE score is 340 and the minimum score is 260. Candidates will receive 3 scores on their GRE scorecard.

The GRE scores will be available in the ETS account of the candidate after 8–10 days of the exam. Candidates will receive an email from ETS when the GRE scores available at the website. The official GRE scorecard contains information and personal records of the candidate. These include:

The universities do not receive all the above information. The official score report sent to the universities include contact information, date of birth and gender, graduate major and the details of GRE scores. The GRE unofficial score report can be sent right after the examination.

GRE Score Report Sending

The GRE score report time is 10–15 days from the testing date. These score reports are available at the ETS official website. Candidates can send scores separately to four universities absolutely free of cost. The GRE score report cost for other facilities are charged separately. The process of sending GRE Score sending to universities are:

• Login to your official ETS account.
• Go to MY GRE Homepage > Scores tab
• Choose to Send Additional Score Reports.
• Candidates will find the option “Test Registration” on screen.
• Use the option called Send Additional Score Reports.
• ETS provides an option to choose among Most Recent scores or All scores.
• Select the scores and send them.

GRE Test Report Validity

The GRE scores of the candidates are valid for 5 years from the date of the test. If the candidate does not want the present GRE score, they can retake the GRE test. Retaking the GRE test can be done once every 21 days. To improve your ETS score report if needed, candidates can take the retest 5 times in a year. The GRE score validity will not be reported to university if it is more than 5 years. Candidates will not be able to see the expired GRE scores on the website.
