IIEST MBA Eligibility

The candidates with the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for the MBA Program:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Humanities, Arts, Commerce, or Business Administration with a minimum of 60 percent (CGPA = 6.5 on a 10-point scale or equivalent) in the Honours/Major subject for UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and 55 percent (CGPA = 6.0 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
• Students who are taking their final year graduation test (and who meet the eligibility requirements outlined above) are also eligible to apply.

IIEST MBA Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted for MBA seats offered by IIEST Shibpur based on their MAT/CMAT/CAT/XAT/GMAT ratings.

On the basis of their academic credentials, applicants will be shortlisted. The Writing Ability Test will be taken by these candidates who had been shortlisted. Candidates who have been further shortlisted based on their performance on the written exam will be invited to an interview.

Following the initial selection of qualifying candidates based on academic results, the following weights (in percent under braces) are assigned:

How to Apply for MBA in IIEST Shibpur?

• Online applications for MBA admissions can be found at https://www.iiests.ac.in/. The following are the steps to filling out the application form:
• Login to the online application portal at the School of Management Sciences, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, using your email address.
• Complete the ONLINE application form with the required information.
• It is necessary to upload a candidate’s digital photograph and signature, as well as include testimonials (wherever they are needed to verify the submitted information).
• Payment must be made by an online payment gateway, and the application form must be submitted.
• Take a printout of the application form that has been completed.

The B.Tech course takes four years to complete, while the B.Arch and combined courses take five years.

The B.Tech course has nine different specialisations, and the Integrated B.Tech+M.Tech course has 29 different specialty topics spread across nine different departments.

All of these courses will be admitted into the JEE (Main)- Paper I (Engineering) and Paper II (Architecture) examinations, which are administered by the JEE Apex Board under CBSE. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to IIEST for a counselling session.

Eligibility Criteria for IIEST Admission:

Bachelor in Technology/Architecture (B.Tech/B.Arch):

Passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination this year with at least five subjects, not more than two of which must be vernacular, in the General or Vocational stream of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Vernacular or any other subject (Full Marks not less than 100), or in an equivalent examination of a recognized Board or university with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Vernacular or any other subject (Full

General candidates must receive a minimum of 45 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics together, as well as a minimum of 30 percent in English. SC/ST/PH candidates must receive a minimum of 40 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (for all category of candidates).

Eligibility: IIEST PhD

Master’s degree in engineering, architecture, or town and regional planning, or M.Phil or a similar degree recognized by the UGC/AICTE in a division of science or related fields. Admission to the Ph.D. programme is determined by the candidates’ success on the entrance exam, which is accompanied by an interview held by the Institute.

Admission to the Ph.D. programme is performed in two cycles: The first one in July, known as the 1st cycle, and the other in January, known as the 2nd cycle.
