IIT JAM 2024 Official Notification has been released for admission to M.Sc programs by IIT Madras on the official website. IIT JAM 2024 Registration will start on 5 September 2023 for different programs of M.Sc. Eligible candidates can register their names through the official website at jam.iitm.ac.in till 13th October 2023. 

IIT JAM 2024 exam will be conducted on 11 Feb 2024 for admission to around 3000 seats in various postgraduate programs at IITs. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode in Seven Test Papers at the undergraduate level.

Candidates who are interested to apply for the IIT JAM 2024 must meet the required eligibility criteria before the application process. Individuals who have successfully obtained an undergraduate degree or are currently in the final year of an undergraduate program are eligible to apply for the JAM 2024 examination.

General/ OBC category students need to pay the IIT JAM Application Fee 2024 of Rs 1800 for one test paper and Rs 2500 for two test papers. Female/ SC / ST / PwD candidates need to pay Rs 900 for one test paper and Rs 1250 for two test papers.

JAM 2024 Examination will be administered in a total of seven subjects, which are also denoted as Test Papers. Seven subjects are Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), and Physics (PH).

How to Apply for IIT JAM 2024?

Interested candidates can apply through the official website of IIT JAM 2024 by using the following steps:

• Please complete the registration process by providing your Name, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
• Select your preferred Test Paper and Examination City
• Upload your Photo and Signature. If applicable, upload your PwD and Category Certificate
• Once all details are uploaded, submit your information
• Finally, proceed to remit the application fee

IIT JAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for IIT JAM 2024:

• Candidates who have successfully obtained an undergraduate degree or are currently in the final year of an undergraduate program are eligible to apply for the JAM 2024 examination.
• Foreign Nationals holding an Indian degree are also eligible to apply, contingent upon the regulations of the Admitting Institutes.
• Candidates from the SC/ST and PwD categories must have achieved a minimum of 50% or a score of 5.0 out of 10 in their graduation.
• Applicants from the General/OBC (NCL) category are required to have attained a minimum aggregate of 55% or a score of 5.5 out of 10 CGPA/CPI without rounding off in their qualification.
