IIT JAM 2024 question papers are available for all seven subjects, with matching solutions or answer keys. The subjects are Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics.
Each paper has 60 questions for 100 marks, divided into MCQ, MSQ and numerical-answer sections. The subject-wise questions cover concepts, calculations and diagrams, with solutions or keys for checking your answers.
Biotechnology (BT)
Plant tissues, DNA replication, RNA, cell organelles and molecular biology appear in this paper. Use the separate worked solutions after your attempt.
Chemistry (CY)
Organic transformations, reaction rates, quantum chemistry and X-ray diffraction feature among the questions. Keep molecular structures and reaction diagrams visible.
Economics (EN)
Consumer preferences, production functions, macroeconomic models and statistical tests are tested alongside numerical methods.
Geology (GG)
Plate tectonics, nuclear decay, ore composition and phase diagrams appear in the paper. The master answer key follows the questions in the same file.
Mathematics (MA)
Differential equations, vector spaces, piecewise-linear functions and Taylor series feature in the paper. The master answer key is included at the end.
Mathematical Statistics (MS)
Sequences, multivariable functions, matrices and statistical distributions require different kinds of reasoning. This is the MS paper, separate from MA.
Physics (PH)
Crystal structures, binary numbers, matrix properties and vector fields feature in the paper. The separate solved file explains the corresponding questions.
| Question type | Correct | Wrong or incomplete |
|---|---|---|
| 1-mark MCQ | +1 | -1/3 |
| 2-mark MCQ | +2 | -2/3 |
| MSQ | +2 for exact set | 0 |
| NAT | +1 or +2 | 0 |
Unanswered questions score zero. MSQs have no partial credit. The Economics solved-file cover has incorrect counts; the actual section split was 30 MCQs, 10 MSQs and 20 NATs.
Original practice: four questions on differentiation, binary numbers, matrices and concentration, with accuracy and explanations.
Choose your answers, then submit the set.
The master answer key follows the questions in each paper. Compare your numerical result with the accepted range and follow the rounding instruction in the question. Keep intermediate calculations precise, especially in multi-step problems.
No. MA and MS are separate papers. They share mathematical ideas, but MS also tests probability and statistical inference.
Check the subject code before downloading. The MS resource contains its own notation and distribution conventions, which affect how a statistical question should be read.
No. If a question has two correct options, selecting only one earns zero. Selecting both plus a wrong option also earns zero. A question may have only one correct option; judge each choice on its merits.
Use the accepted range in the master key and the question's rounding instruction. Keep intermediate calculations precise. A rounded number in an explanation is not a substitute for the accepted interval.
No. An unanswered question scores zero. Incorrect NATs and MSQs also score zero, but MCQ errors attract deductions. The absence of a penalty in one section does not remove it from another.
The four original questions cover differentiation, binary numbers, diagonal matrices and molarity. Your result shows accuracy, followed by explanations for each answer and an option to retry mistakes.

Hi Bina! You cannot use your JEE Mains 2024 score to get admission in the academic year 2025-2026. The validity of JEE Mains score is for one year only.
The eligibility criteria for admission to KNRUHS courses such as MBBS, MD, MS, etc. are based on merit. For admission in undergraduate courses like BDS, BHMS, BUMS, B.A.M.S., and BNYS, National Eligibility cum Entrance test (NEET-UG) scores are considered. The post-graduate level courses like MS/ MD/ PG Diploma/ MPH, and NEET-PG scores are considered for admission. Other than this, admission in Kaloji Narayana Rao University’s courses like M.H.M.S, M.U.M.S, AND M.A.M.S, is done based on AIAPGET score. Bachelor’s degree is considered only for admission to M.Sc. and MPT in KNRUHS. For super Specialty courses like M.CH and DM or Doctorate of Medicine program, the admission is done based on NEET-SS( Super Speciality Courses ) score.
The colleges affiliated with VTU are required to submit the list of admitted students for various courses within a due period along with necessary documents and prescribed fees. The admissions made by the college can be Cancelled / Disapproved by the University if found not eligible for any valid reasons.
No, Jadavpur University (JU) only accepts admission through entrance exams, such as WBJEE, NATA, GATE, WB JECA, and GPAT. JU does not accept JEE Main scores for admission in its engineering courses.
Jadavpur University is a state university in West Bengal. Admission is done through WBJEE, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The university also accepts other entrance exams, including:
CAT, MAT, XAT, JEMAT, ATMA, GATE.
