The list of IIT JAM Exam Centers 2026 has been made available by IIT Delhi, the conducting authority. The exam is conducted for admission to the MSc Courses. While selecting the IIT JAM 2026 Exam Centre, candidates should take into account aspects like proximity, accessibility, and other pertinent variables while selecting their exam centre. 

In the previous year, the IIT JAM Exam Centre list was expanded and Haldwani in Uttarakhand and Port Blair in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands were added to the list. These locations have been retained in the latest IIT JAM 2026 exam city list. This list consists of 103 centres that are dispersed among 8 different IIT zones, each of which is connected to a certain city code. 

How does it work? 

While filling out your IIT JAM Application Form, the applicants need to choose three cities where they'd like to take the exam. However, the first and second choices need to be in the same zone. For their third choice, candidates can pick any city in India.

Candidates will find the specific IIT JAM Exam Centres detailed on their JAM Admit Card. Candidates may alter their exam centres at a later time by paying a processing fee during the allotted time.

How to Change IIT JAM Exam Centre for Special Cases

During the IIT JAM 2026 Application Process, candidates can choose up to three exam locations. These decisions are final after the application form has been filled out and submitted. However, the preferred IIT JAM exam centres can be changed in extreme cases. Candidates must submit a legitimate justification along with a payment of Rs. 500 (as a processing fee) through the JOAPS portal online in order to request a change in exam locations. This choice is available in the IIT JAM 2026 Form Correction Window.

Note: IIT JAM organising body does not ensure that exam centre changes will be approved or that the processing cost will be refunded.

IIT JAM Exam Instructions

IIT JAM exam 2026 is scheduled for February 2, 2026. Candidates must follow the following rules and directives in order to take the IIT JAM 2026 exam hassle-free:

• Reach the assigned IIT JAM exam centre well in advance.
• Do not bring any prohibited objects, including calculators, cell phones, or other electronic equipment, to the JAM exam centre.
• Carry a valid photo ID together with the IIT JAM admit card.
• Scribble pads will be available for any preliminary work at the IIT JAM exam centre.

IIT JAM Exam 2026 Points to Remember

• IIT JAM organising committee can add or remove cities as exam centres for IIT JAM 2026 if necessary. Candidates can look at the list of IIT JAM exam locations as they finish their application forms.
• The candidates' preferences are the main deciding element used by the JAM organising committee for choosing exam centres. One of the three IIT JAM exam locations selected by applicants is chosen by the authorities to determine final test centres.
• Note that the first two IIT JAM exam centres chosen by candidates must all be from the same IIT zone, while the third exam centre can be from any IIT zone.
