What I Liked

Healthy Campus Life - The people (seniors and faculties) are very helpful and supportive.
Collaborative and Growing Culture - The college has 3 different socities and various clubs that foster individual's practicalgrowth and polishes one's interpersonal skills.

What I didn’t like

Limited Facilities in Campus - Lack of Dispensary, Lack of On-Site Medical Doctor.
Connectivity Isssue - The main city is 15-16kms far from the college campus.

Placement Experience:

Eligibilty criteria for placement is that the students applying for placement should not have any active backlogs. Many big tech companies come to our college and offer great internships and placement opportunities. Highest package offered in the current placement drive was Rs. 83 lakhs and average package offered is around Rs. 14 lakhs. About 80%-90% students get placed easily.

Internships Opportunities:

In the coming August, I'm going to be a sophomore at IIIT Kota, so yet I'm not eligible for any kind of internships or placements. Internships are open for 3rd year and 4th year students, while only 4th year students can sit for placements. The internships are available from the 6th semester (Even Semester, 3rd year).

A complete breakdown of IIIT KOTA fees Structures and offerings.

Placement Experience:

Placements are provided in the forth year only and you can apply for the intern in third year also. Eligibility criteria is your cgpa must be greater than 6 atleast and it may very from company to company. Highest is 530000 and average is 900000.&0 percent of the students got placement.Aftet getting degree i prefer job.

Internships Opportunities:

No i have not opted for any internship as i m in second year cannot apply for the internship . Yes there is opprtunities available of internship recently amazon came fore the interview. You eligibilty have should your own resume.

IIITK CAMPUS AND HOSTEL LIFE

What I Liked

Their are manybclubs for extra curriculur any one can find their interested field and can improve their communication skills
Teachers are very friendly and helpful and are approachable

What I didn’t like

Campus is near factories so pllution is big issue here and also many insects are their in college
College is at remote location nothing is in nearby we have to travel 20km from campus for any city work

Placement Experience:

Eligibilty criteria-> student should not a backlog, required attendance should be passed. Mainly interviews are held online. College is not in city so offline interviews are less we at remote location like 20km from kota city. Some student got intern in cisco, Avg placement is like 12lpa 60-70% students are placed.

Internships Opportunities:

We are in first year. Internship mainly happens in 3rd year a student i know from 3rd year got internship in cisco. Well iiit kota gives student time of 6 months or a complete semester for going to internship whereas other colleges give time of 3months only

College pros and defects

What I Liked

Very good infrastructure and have well qualified faculty
Have good campus and enjoyable good college life

What I didn’t like

There is many pros but there is defect in our college is not good water supply.
Not good WiFi speed and there is lack of electricity.

Placement Experience:

We required to gain 8 cgpa by our last year. There is on campus placement offers is available in our college . The highest package in our college was 65lpa and the average package is 12 lpa and mostly 70 percent students was placed in recent years

Internships Opportunities:

No, I am not opted for any internship . There is many companies which offer internship program to our students in college like Amazon,Google.Many coding project and hackathon project is included in internship program.

IIIT Kota: Promising Education with Growing Infrastructure

What I Liked

Faculty: The highly qualified and experienced faculty are dedicated to providing quality education and guidance.
Campus Life: The vibrant campus life with various clubs and activities creates a dynamic and engaging environment for students.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still developing, which might lack some advanced facilities compared to older institutions.
Transportation: iiitkota campus is far from the main city nearly 13km so for the basic needs you have to travel 12-13kms which is time consuming and the locality is boring nothing to see there.

Placement Experience:

The highest package and average package offered during IiT Kota placements in 2024 stood at INR 53.6 LPA and INR 12.46 LPA, respectively. Further, the IIIT Kota CSE average package offered in 2024 stood at INR 12.71 LPA, whereas the IIIT Kota ECE average package offered in 2024 stood at INR 11.96 LPA. The top recruiters of IT Kota placements in 2024 included Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Cvent, Samsung, etc.

IIIT'S - THE UNTOLD TRUTH

What I Liked

fully fleged infrastructure is quite good and faculty is also good.
faculty are highly qualified and always there to help the students in the cmapus.

What I didn’t like

due to new campus there is sometimes shortage of resources in the college.
the mess food quality in not that good as there are many students so the quality is not upgrading.

Placement Experience:

Th criteria are there is no lack of students. No. of offers made is always more than the eligible student. highest package is 52 lacs and the average package is 13 lpa.80 -85 per cent of students placed. I want to get a good job after my degree

Internships Opportunities:

No internship till now but there are many opportunities for intership in college regarding SDE and data analysis and many more to go the projects are based on real-life projects and industry-based projects.

IIIT Kota Honest Review by an existing student

What I Liked

The hostels are new so are in good shape atleast for the time being
The proposed plan for campus is actually good but as long as all those building and grounds are not build, it's not a good idea to join this college.

What I didn’t like

Lack of teaching staff, not a single senior professor in our college, all are assistant professors, and most of them does not emphasize on teaching students, they just spend there 1 hour lecture somehow and then go and enjoy in their AC cabins
No sports ground, no medical facility, no proper transport to go to the city or railway station or bus stand, students have to manage all on their own.

Placement Experience:

To sit in placements you need at least a 6.5 CGPA, Only IT-based companies visit our college, no companies for ECE students, they need to do coding and clear all coding rounds to get a placement, and even then the companies prefer CSE students over ECE ones, so placement is really bad in ECE branch. For the year 2024, the on-campus placement was not exciting, though we had an off-campus placement of 85 LPA, but most of the placed students don't have a dream job. Many students go for GATE in 4th year if not placed and continue higher studies.

Unheard Life at IIIT Kota

What I Liked

Infrastructure is good. Newly made academic block, hostels and canteen.
Seniors are really helpful. Club activities here also help in all round development of students.

What I didn’t like

The faculty isn't good. They aren't much student friendly.
Campus life is nothing due to lack of amenities and its far away reach from the city.

Placement Experience:

You can take placement after the 6th semester. companies like Google, amazon, coinbase, and Flipkart have visited here. Mostly students have to focus on off-campus placements. The highest package is 81 lakhs and the average is 18.7 lakhs. 81% of students have been placed. After getting my degree, I intend to work at a company for a few years. Maybe after that, I'll think of doing a master's.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted for any internship yet. People have to look by themselves for internship opportunities. You can be a data analyst, software engineer, frontend developer, backend developer, or SDE intern. You need to have a good tech stack, a nice resume and profiles with some valuable projects to it.

IIIT KOTA - PROS AND CONS

What I Liked

The thing that I like most about college is the sports department. Every year the college he vault invests in sports and caters to the needs of students for their overall development in games. Entire contingent for all types of games are selected. Inter and intra tournaments are also organised.
Infrastructure of the college is also good since it's recently built. The hostels are already created and they are really big and comfortable. The academic block is also good.

What I didn’t like

Campus life in the new college is very dull. It's located very far from city and for basic shops and restaurants one has to travel very far.
Location - The location is an industrial area. Also the weather during summers is above 45 degree Celsius and unbearable.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for campus placements is that no ongoing back should be there in any subject. If there is then the student needs to clear backlogs. A few of the recruiters for the 2024 year are Flipkart, Carrier, Meesho, Samsung, NAV, Maq, Autodesk, Hindustan Times, Zscaler, Motive, Brane, TA Digital, etc, and many more. In this time of recession, more than 100 offers were made by companies. The highest On-campus is around 40.5lpa and the average is around 12lpa. The profiles were mostly software developer roles, few were Business Analyst, frontend roles, ML/AI, Android development, etc. Some of these roles were intern+FTE while the rest where FTE only.

Average Package of the college is good .
Academics of the college is also on an average.

What I didn’t like

No Campus life in the college (As a boring College life).
Campus is in under construction, so many facilities are unavailable in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Average package is around 15 LPA . CSE average package : about 14 LPA ECE average package : About 12 LPA. Highest Package: about 53 LPA(2022 ) 81 LPA(2021 ) On an average Placement is good . Further, statistics of placement is available on official website.
