MIT-WPU Admission Process 2027

MIT-WPU admission is based on programme eligibility, accepted entrance scores and course-specific selection rounds. Applicants complete registration, submit the form, pay the application fee and then appear for the required test, interview or review stage.

B.Tech Admission Process

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and 50% aggregate marks. English is compulsory.
  • Applicants need a valid score in JEE Main / MHT-CET / PERA-CET.
  • A 500-word Statement of Purpose (SOP) must be submitted with the entrance score.
  • Selection stages: Entrance exam score, SOP evaluation, merit list, document verification and admission confirmation.

In the 2025 counselling round, the MHT-CET closing percentile for CSE in the General category was in the 91-92 percentile range. A safer score usually fell within the 92-96 percentile band.

The new 5-year Integrated B.Tech + MBA track covers CSE + AI Business Management and Civil Engineering + Construction Management. It follows the same B.Tech-leg eligibility and then continues into the MBA specialisation after the engineering years.

MBA Admission Process

  • Eligibility: Graduation with 60% aggregate, or 55% for reserved category candidates from Maharashtra state. Students also need 60% aggregate across Class 10 and Class 12 with English.
  • A valid score is accepted from CAT / XAT / NMAT / GMAT / CMAT / MAH-CET / MAT / MIT-WPU CET.
  • Selection stages: Entrance score, Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interaction (PI), academic record and work-experience weightage, followed by the final merit list.

For MIT-WPU MBA programmes, the CAT cutoff for the General category is usually in the 80-85 percentile range. GD-PI performance carries strong weight in the final merit decision.

Other UG/PG Programmes

BBA (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) admissions are based on MIT-WPU CET or CUET UG, followed by a personal interview. M.Tech applicants need either a valid GATE score or MIT-WPU CET performance, followed by a departmental interview. B.Pharm, B.Des, BFA and BA Liberal Arts use programme-specific entrance rounds with portfolio or interview stages where required.
