Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST) is one among the top engineering institute in the Eastern part of India when compared to IIT Kharagpur and NIT Jamshedpur.   • DAAD Scholarship – Working internship in Science and Technology (WISE): for B.Tech students in their 5th or 6th semester and for dual degree /integrated program students in their 5th,6th,7th or 8th semester for carrying out 2-3 month research internship at German universities/state funded research institute.
  • Global Alumni Association of Bengal Engineering and Science University (GAABESU): -for meritorious/financially backward students after the completion of 1st year will receive scholarship from GAABESU. Merit-based scholarship is also given to departmental toppers for subsequent years too.

Question: Does the college gives an opportunity to change streams after the commencement of classes?

Answer: IIEST Shibpur allows the students to change at the end of the first year of graduation. You must secure a minimum of 9 CGPA. The interested students must be in the top 10% of the batch to be eligible for any change. Each department states its vacancy limits.
