JEE Main 2026 Participating Institutes/Colleges list will be released by the NTA on the official website. All the JEE Main participating colleges/institutes will accept JEE Main Rank. Various institutes like NITs, IITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and some state colleges will fill their seats based on JEE Main 2026 scores.
There are many government as well as private colleges that accept JEE Main Score. Two bodies conduct JEE Main Counselling. The counselling process for the top IITs, GFTIs, and NITs will be conducted by JoSAA. CSAB will conduct counselling for the vacant seats after JoSAA rounds. CSAB will also conduct counselling for colleges in North Eastern states of India and certain Union Territories of the country.
There will be 38 GFTIs, 32 NITs, and 26 IIITs participating in JEE Main 2026 Counselling. Read the article to learn about the JEE Main 2026 participating institutes.

many engineering institutes in New Delhi accept the scores of JEE Main for filling up their seats. These colleges are known for their highly qualified and well-experienced faculty and have good placement records. They release their cut-off after the release of the JEE Main cut-off. Admissions are made based on the cut-off announced by them.
There are many private and government colleges accepting JEE Main scores 2022 to offer admission in the B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc courses to the engineering aspirants. The list of some of the famous private and govt engineering colleges is given below:
JoSAA is the authority that is set up to conduct counselling for admission in 87 engineering colleges including NITs, IITs, IIITs, GFTIs, state colleges, and other colleges.

Ans: No! There would not be separate counselling for session 1 and session 2 of JEE Main 2026. Both sessions will have one centralised counselling conducted by JoSAA. CSAB will also conduct counselling rounds for vacant seats and seats in certain Union territories and institutes in the North Eastern states of India.

Ques: How many rounds of counselling will be there for admission to JEE Main 2026 participating institutes?
Ans: JoSAA will conduct 6 rounds of counselling for admissions to various IITs, NITs, GFTIs, and Private Colleges via your JEE Main Scores. After the main rounds of counselling, CSAB will conduct two special rounds of counselling for vacant seats, seats in North Eastern states, and Union Territories. In total, there will be 8 rounds of counselling i.e. 6 rounds of JoSAA counselling + 2 special rounds by CSAB.

Without a doubt the best college in India for engineering are the top 3 IITs, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IIT Madras. Then these are followed by BITs Pilania and so on.
