JEE Main 2022 Application Form for Phase 2 has been re-open from 6 July 2022. Candidates can fill out the application form till 9 July 2022 up to 9 PM. Fresh or already registered Phase 1 candidates can apply for the exam. To fill out the application form candidates need to visit the official website i.e jeemain.nta.nic.in or click on the link available below.

JEE Main 2022 Registration Fee for General/Gen-EWS/ OBC(NCL) boys is INR 650/- for a single paper. While for girls and SC/ST/PwD/Transgender, fees are INR 325/- for a single paper. Successfully registered can pay the JEE Main 2022 application form fees till 9 July 2022 (11:50 PM). 

  • Candidates who have qualified their 12th in 2020, 2021 or will appear in 2022 are eligible for JEE Main registration. Check JEE Main 2022 Eligibility
  • No correction facility will be provided this year once the application form has been submitted.
  • Candidates are required to provide four preferences for JEE Main Exam Centres along with paper opted while applying for the exam.

Eligibility to fill JEE Main Application Form 2022

Before filling out the application form candidates must know JEE Main 2022 Eligibility criteria. Further, if any applicant fails to meet the eligibility criteria, the examination authorities will reject the application form.

Academic Qualifications
  • Candidates must pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board of education. 
  • Candidates who passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2019 or before and those who will appear in such examination in 2023 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2022 exam.
  • The candidates appearing for B.Tech./ B.E courses must have Physics, Mathematics, any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject in their 10-2
  • The candidates appearing for B. Arch course must have Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry subjects in their 10-2
  • The candidates appearing for B. Plan course must have had Mathematics in their 10+2.
  • Indian nationals/ OCI/PIO/ Foreign nationals can apply for the IIT JEE Main 2022 examination.
Age Criteria
  • There are no age boundaries for the candidates appearing for JEE Main 2022 exam. 

How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2022?

The given steps can be followed by the applicants to fill in the NTA JEE Main 2022 Registration Form. Applicants are advised to fill in all the details in the application carefully and not make any mistakes.

Step 1- Registration Process

In the first step, applicants will have to complete the JEE Main 2022 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The stepwise procedure for JEE Main 2022 registration process is mentioned below.

  • Students are required to visit official website of JEE Main and click on “apply for JEE Main 2022”
  • A new page will open on screen and students need to click on the “New Registration” tab. 
  • After that, the instructions page will open and students need to read the instructions carefully and click on the checkbox at the bottom and proceed with the registration.
  • Now, candidates need to fill the JEE Main Registration Form by providing details matching the 10th marks sheet or birth date certificate.
  • The details to be filled include name, DOB, Gender, Nationality, State of eligibility etc.
  • students also need to verify the email id and phone number as these details cannot be changed later. 
  • Now, candidates need to proceed with the submission of the registration form. 
  • An application number will be generated at the time of submission and students need to copy this application number for further application process.

Step 2- Filling of Application Form 

The aspirants of JEE Main 2022 are required to follow the below steps to fill the application form.

  • Students have to first fill the candidate details including nationality, gender, category, birth date, disability status, minority status etc.
  • Then, students need to fill in the academic details of class 10th and 12th including percentage, year of passing, board of education, qualifying exam code etc. 
  • Students also need to fill in the other details including aadhar card details, parent/guardian details, family income details etc. 

Step 3- Uploading of Scanned Documents

  • candidates need to upload personal documents including photograph and signature as per the given specifications

Step 4- Payment of JEE Main 2022 Application Fee

  • Applicants are required to pay the JEE Main 2022 application fees online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI 
  • students can prefer upi method of payment to avoid any payment charges.
  • After successful payment, students are advised to save the payment confirmation page for future references. 
  • Once the payment is successful, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

Step 5- Print out Confirmation Page 

Finally, applicants will have to print out the confirmation page for future use.

How to Recover JEE Main 2022 Password and Application Number?

In case applicants forget their generated NTA JEE Main 2022 application number and password, then they will have to follow the steps given below in the table.

Steps to recover Password:-

  • Step 1: Go to the official website of JEE Main 2022 i.e., jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Step 2: Click on the link ‘Forgot Password’ 
  • Step 3: Applicants will have to provide their application number and date of birth.
  • Step 4: The link to generate a new password will be sent to the registered email address of the applicants.

Steps to recover Application Number:-

  • Step 1: Applicants can check their email or mobile for a message consisting of their JEE Main application number sent during registration. OR
  • Step 2: The printout of the confirmation page can be checked for the application number. OR
  • Step 3: Applicants can contact the NTA authorities to know their application number.

JEE Main 2022 Application Form Correction

NTA made the JEE Main 2022 application correction window for phase 1 aspirants from April 6 to 8, 2022. Applicants who mistakenly entered any incorrect information in their JEE Main application form 2022 or applicants with defects in uploaded images can use this facility. They have to use JEE Main 2022 candidate login to use the correction facility. Applicants were required to pay an additional fee for modifying the details whereas some details will be open for modification without any cost.

How To Choose JEE Main 2022 Exam Centres?

  • Candidates have the option to choose any 4 exam centres according to their preference.
  • The exam centre will be allotted by the exam authority only.
  • For centres with less than 30 students, in such cases, those students will be allotted the last slot of the last exam day.
  • Candidates must keep the following few things in mind while choosing an exam centre:
    • The centre must be nearest so as to avoid delays in reaching the venue on time.
    • It must be easy and accessible to reach.
    • Evaluate transportation facilities to reach the centre.
  • At the JEE Main Exam centres, the exam is conducted in an online mode.

Ans. Yes. You are. However, you must give the address of your study centre in place of the school details in the section academic of the JEE Main application form 2022.
