The faculties are very helpful we can choose the courses we want to study and thought year or fourth year of the tech journey but it's compulsory to to complete some of the four courses of the branches we are also allowed to take the courses which are not related to science and technology but other social life related courses like Indian independence or environmental science and etc

Iit Mandi offers a branch change policy, so my branch was changed from Mechanical to mathematics and computing because I was interested in coding and maths. This branch change was based upon the CGPA you received in the first two semesters, there is no bias in branch change policy, but for now the upcoming students, this policy have been removed. The faculty advisor of my branch that is mathematics and computing is very helpful. They help me in sorting out all my clashes in my courses and guide me to take the best courses for my future.

I have keen interest in Physics that's why I choose this. All professors or faculty holds a PhD degree. Every professor has different teaching method. There are two semesters in a year in which we have one mid semester exams and end semester exams. Difficulty Level depends on Professor.

I chode my course which is General engineering because it provides an option to study various types of courses for the first two years and then choose a specialization in 3rd year of your choice so that you have a clarity what you exactly want to study. Faculty in the coolege are really great and are experts in their own fields. The evaluation pattern of a course depends on the instructor of the course. But in general we have one Mid Sem exams amd one end sem exams for each course. Some courses also have a lab evaluation.

My course is Btech in Mathematics and Computing, the curriculum is nice , like it's a mixture of both mathematics and computer courses , Mathematics is dominant for Computer courses . But Overall it's nice ,in first year , every branch students has same subjects. The variation starts from second year. Faculties here are very nice , they are really helpful. All you need to do is approach them and tell them your problem.

I have got the course according to the rank in JEE Advanced. In IIT Mandi no doubt they try to provide the best quality education they can. They focus on learning by doing so have lots of practicals. They have certain special courses like Design Practicum which I feel helps students in proper understanding. Generally here is a 4 to 5 months semester. In which we have 1 midterm exam and one end-term exam. The difficulty level varies according to professors. Some also take surprise quiz in between for proper understanding.

I am doing phd in physics so it’s good in my department as faculty are mostly from premier institutes ,soft condensed matter physics is strong arm of iit mandi physics department,I work in soft condensed matter physics where we do molecular dynamic simulation to study various different scenarios.

The IIT Mandi curriculum is built on research and real world applications with a mix of core technical subjects and electives. Essentially, it came down to entrepreneurial opportunities and a hands on approach. Most of the faculty have PhDs from top universities, the faculty being highly qualified. Theory is combined with practical applications; this is a teaching that’s collaborative, and curious. Term exams are great, both timely and moderately taxing -- they evaluate concepts and problem solving. Regular assessments guarantee consistent engagement. Overall, which includes academics and career orientation, they are rigorous.

The course curriculum at IIT Mandi is well-structured and focuses on practical applications, which influenced my decision to choose this course. It prepares students for real-world challenges. Exams are conducted two times in one semester. Ther difficulty level of both exams is easy to moderate. IIT Mandi has highly qualified and expert faculty. They help and support to the students for great achievements in their life.

The faculties here are very well qualified with some even having more than 1 PHD. They know what to teach and what they are teaching. The curriculum is up to date according to industry standards and it keeps updating. Although some teachers are not that good in delivering their subject but all the course notes are provided which if studied well, you can easily get good marks. Talking about Exams, there are two major exams in a semester, Mid- Semester and End- Semester. The level of exams is easy to medium depending on your level of study. If you have studied properly two weeks prior to exam then you can score well easily. For each course there are weekly quizzes for which just 30mins - 1hr study is more than enough to scire full.
