What's New In JEE MAIN 2026?
JEE Main result 2026 for Session 2 has been released on the official website on 20 April 2026. NTA also released the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 final answer key on the official website on 20 April 2026. You can download the JEE Main 2026 result and answer key at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main 2026 exam concluded on 8 April 2026. As per the press release by NTA, a total of 11.23 lakh students appeared for the JEE Main Session 2 examination.

In JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 (BE/BTech), a total of 11.06 lakh candidates appeared.
- A total of 54,953 students appeared for JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning).
- JEE Main 2026 recorded an attendance rate of 93% in Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2 (BArch and BPlanning).
- NTA released the JEE Main 2026 session 2 provisional answer key and response sheet on 11 April 2026.

JEE Main Answer Key and Response Sheet
NTA released the JEE Main answer key 2026 for Session 2 on 11 April 2026 along with the response sheet. Students were allowed to challenge the answer key from 11 April to 13 April 2026 by paying a fee of INR 200 for each challenged question.

Ans. After submission of the challenges against the JEE Main answer key, NTA will examine the challenges and make a decision. If the challenge is found to be valid, NTA will release the final JEE Main answer key with updated answers to the questions.
- If a question is dropped, you will get +4 marks if you appeared in that shift.
- If multiple answers are correct, you will get +4 marks if you attempted that question and marked any of the correct options.

Ans. To calculate the JEE Main marks using JEE Main answer key and response sheet, you can follow the steps below.
- Match answers of your response sheet with the JEE Main final answer key.
- Count total number of questions with correct answers and total number of questions with incorrect answers.
- Multiply total number of correct answers by 4 and the incorrect answers by 1.
- Use the formula below to get the total JEE Main 2026 marks.
