NIRF 2023 Ranking has been released today on 5 June 2023 at 11 am by the Minister of State for Education and External Affairs. The education minister Rajkumar Ranjan Singh has released this National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings. NIRF Ranking 2023 is available on the site. nirfindia.org.

According to the latest Ranking released by NIRF, in the engineering field, IIT Madras has retained its 1st position like previous years for the 8th consecutive year (2016 to 2023). In the overall category, IIT Madras is in 1st position for the 5th consecutive year (2019 to 2023). IISc Bangalore is in 2nd position and IIT Delhi stood third in the NIRF Ranking of 2023

In the management field, Indian Institue of Ahmedabad has also retained its position and this in 1st position. The 2nd position is held by the Indian Institue of Bangalore and the 3rd position is the Indian Institue of Kozhikode.

There are four categories on which NIRF Ranking is based namely Overall, Colleges, universities, and Research Institutions. NIRF Ranking are decided on various parameters and these are teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity, and perception
