CLAT 2024 Logical Reasoning Preparation Tips

The section of Logical Reasoning examines the logical and reasoning abilities of a candidate. Candidates have to comprehend reasoning patterns and conclude them with argumentative situations in the examination. This tests their ability to become a lawyer. This section of the examination requires candidates to think critically.

The following are some tips that can be very useful for a candidate to prepare for the section of Logical Reasoning in their CLAT 2024 examination:

Planning

In order to effectively score good marks in the examination, candidates should make a proper plan on how to study and prepare for the section. The candidates should make a plan on how to cover the syllabus and study the Logical Reasoning part thoroughly. This will help them to complete the syllabus within time and help them have enough time for revision. It is good to avoid last minute rush in covering the syllabus.

Time Management

Since the examination has 120 minutes and 5 sections, it is very important to learn time management for the examination while preparing for it. The candidate should spend a maximum of 26 minutes on the Logical Reasoning section (as this section requires more thinking) in order to have time for revision and to avoid the rush which leads to not having enough time for other questions. Spending too much time on one question will leave no time for the others. So, it is advisable to get the practice of not spending too much time while the candidate is preparing through mock tests as well.

Practice Papers/ Previous Year’s Questions

Solving practice papers is very important for a candidate appearing for any examination. This helps a candidate in getting an idea of how to prepare for their examination. Solving practice papers for the Logical Reasoning section can help a candidate to avoid taking too much time and it can help very effectively for them in solving the passage-related questions.

Mock Tests

The candidates should start giving mock tests while preparing for the examination. This will help in avoiding rush or losing time for a question. This will also help the candidates in their critical thinking that is required for the Logical Reasoning section.

Analyzing the Tests and Practice Papers

After giving the tests and solving the practice papers, it is very important for a candidate to analyze their score and solving tendencies. This will help them in identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Identifying their strengths and weaknesses can help them in making mistakes and help the candidates in learning more efficiently.

Daily Practice

The candidates should practice questions and study the materials that they have for the preparation on a daily basis. This will help them in building the habit of studying and it will also help them get used to solving papers within time. This will help in enhancing the ability of critical thinking in the candidates which will help them even later on.

Reading

Developing the habit of reading by reading anything for only five-ten minutes per day, can help a candidate. This can help candidates for the passage-related questions in both Logical Reasoning and English sections. It might also be helpful for them in the Legal section.

 Review Toppers’ Interviews

Reviewing toppers’ interviews can be very effective in ruling out the best method that works for you in the preparation. Every person learns differently and has a different way of understanding things so looking for what helps others can help you in ruling out the possible methods that work only for you.

Take Care of Your Health

Good health helps in keeping the mind fit. There are a lot of times when health is considered as the bizarre reason for why a candidate couldn’t do well for their examination. So, take good care of your health and do not sacrifice your sleep.
