CLAT Previous-year Question Paper PDFs

The downloads cover CLAT UG papers from 2019 to 2026. Choose a recent 120-question paper for a full-length attempt, then use older papers for additional passages or a specific weak section. These are UG resources, not the LLM entrance papers.

The year in the file identifies the exam cycle. Do not rename an old paper as a current mock without explaining that it is a previous-year paper; students who have already seen its questions will not get an unseen score.

Set-wise Papers and File Differences

The 2024 and 2026 sets are distinct booklets. The 2025 archive set links lead to a single 28-page file, so that file is listed once. A different label on the same download does not create another paper.

The 2021 file begins with an old objection notice and shows correct options beside questions. Use it for guided review rather than a clean mock. The 2019 files include a cover before the question pages, so the PDF page counter differs from the printed booklet numbering.

How the CLAT Paper Format Changed

The change is not only a smaller question count. The 2019 paper contains many standalone problems, while recent papers rely heavily on shared reading passages. Completing an old set of short questions cannot replace practising several questions against one long extract.

Section counts also vary within the 120-question format. The 2025 paper has 32 Legal and 24 Logical questions; 2026 has 30 Legal and 26 Logical questions. Both contain 24 English, 28 Current Affairs and 12 Quantitative questions. Do not copy one year’s exact distribution into a future-year claim.

CLAT Answer Keys and Final Scoring

A question paper gives the problem; an answer key gives the accepted option; a worked solution explains why. These are different resources. A file containing only option letters should not be described as full explanations.

For ordinary retained questions, raw marks are correct answers minus one quarter of wrong answers. Withdrawals and accepted-answer changes require the applicable final key. Record the year, programme, set and key version next to the score, especially for CLAT 2025.

Do not compare 100 marks across the 200-, 150- and 120-question formats as though the paper size were identical. Even a marks percentage cannot supply an official rank or percentile for a present-day practice attempt.

A Paper-review Method That Shows What to Revise

Attempt a clean recent booklet without opening the key. Stop at the selected time and keep late answers separate. Then review unanswered questions as well as wrong ones: an unanswered group may expose a reading-load problem rather than a gap in the subject.

For shared passages, record time for the group rather than assigning the entire reading cost to its first question. If the first answer took four minutes and the next four took under a minute each, that pattern does not automatically mean the first question was unusually difficult.

Use a second paper to check whether the same error recurs. For example, repeatedly choosing a stronger claim than the passage supports calls for inference practice; repeatedly using the wrong percentage denominator calls for quantitative data review. The error should determine the next task.
