Four set-labelled PDFs are available. Each download has 39 PDF pages, including a Zollege cover; printed page numbers inside the booklet do not start at the same place as the PDF viewer’s page count.

Choose one set and record its label before solving. A different set may arrange questions differently. Matching a key by question number alone is unsafe if the booklet identity does not also match.

In Set A, English covers questions 1–40, General Knowledge 41–90, Elementary Mathematics 91–110, Legal Aptitude 111–160 and Logical Reasoning 161–200. The order puts Mathematics before Legal Aptitude, unlike the later papers in this archive.

The English section includes standalone grammar questions. Legal Aptitude contains individual principle-and-fact problems, while the final reasoning block includes coding and analogy tasks. These features make the paper different from a current test built around longer shared passages.

CLAT 2019 Answer Key and Scoring

The downloads here are question booklets. A separate fully matched final answer key for all four sets is not included in this selection. Do not treat a Set A key as a Set B key merely because both belong to CLAT 2019.

When using an answer resource elsewhere, compare the complete question and its option order. The same question can have a different accepted letter if the options have been rearranged. A solution should explain the choice, not only display a letter.

Keep any unverified answer out of an authoritative final-score claim. You can still use the question for a focused grammar, calculation or reasoning exercise and review the underlying method.

How to Practise with the 2019 Paper

For English, select the grammar questions that test an identifiable rule, such as agreement or sentence construction. After checking an answer, rewrite the sentence correctly and identify the error; learning only the option letter adds little.

For Legal Aptitude, apply the supplied principle to the stated facts rather than replacing it with a rule remembered from elsewhere. This application skill remains useful even though the short 2019 problem format is not the same as today’s longer passages.

Use Elementary Mathematics for arithmetic repair and Logical Reasoning for selected deduction exercises. Do not let a large set of old coding or analogy questions replace current passage-based argument practice. The task should match the weakness you are trying to fix.

CLAT 2019 is best used as a supplementary question bank. Recent 120-question papers are the closer reference for current reading load, section balance and a complete timed attempt.

The CLAT previous-year paper archive includes other years for comparison. Choose the year and programme first; a postgraduate law paper is not an interchangeable UG practice test.

Can I use CLAT 2019 as my only mock paper?+

No. Its 200-question format and many standalone questions differ substantially from the current 120-question passage-based paper. Use it for selected skills and add recent full-length papers.

Are Set A and Set B answer letters interchangeable?+

No. Check the question and option order in the chosen set. Even where the underlying question is the same, a reordered list of options can change the correct letter.

Which parts of the old paper still help with current preparation?+

Grammar and arithmetic can repair specific weaknesses, while principle-and-fact questions can strengthen rule application. The limitation is format: current English and Logical Reasoning require sustained passage reading, so standalone questions cannot supply the entire preparation. Choose old questions for a named skill, not simply to raise the number attempted.

Is this the CLAT 2019 UG or PG paper?+

These downloads are for UG. CLAT PG is the LLM entrance paper and tests undergraduate law subjects. Do not use an UG answer key or question count to assess a PG attempt.

Will solving this paper show my admission rank?+

No. A practice result shows your performance on this paper under the conditions you used. It does not reproduce the exam cohort, official ranking or the university’s category-wise admission process.
