CLAT 2027 toppers will be known after the result. The exam is on 6 December 2026. In the latest completed UG cycle, CLAT 2026, the highest score was 112.75 out of 119 evaluated marks.

A topper score is not an NLU admission cutoff. The comparisons below keep each score with its exam year and evaluated maximum, so a withdrawn question does not distort the comparison.

The result notice gives city-wise counts within the UG top 100, not a named national topper list. Bengaluru contributed 15 candidates, New Delhi 8 and Mumbai 7. Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur contributed 6 each. These are selected city counts, not the ranks of individual candidates.

112.75 divided by 119 is about 94.75%. That percentage describes marks obtained; it does not recreate the candidate’s percentile or establish a minimum score for an NLU.

The exam took place on 3 December 2023 for the 2024 admission cycle. UG and PG are separate competitions; a postgraduate score must not be inserted into an undergraduate topper table.

The official result notice groups high-scoring candidates by percentile, gender and state. It is not a named top-ten list. A percentile band containing several people does not establish their individual rank order.

The 99.99 band includes more than one candidate. That does not mean six candidates all held AIR 2. Percentile is reported to limited precision, while the merit order also uses the applicable tie-break.

The top PG percentile shown in the notice was 99.99, with one male candidate from Delhi in that band. The notice does not identify that candidate by name.

2024 Reference: Why 108 Marks Was Not 100%

The highest UG score corresponds to approximately 91.53% of 118 evaluated marks. A 100 percentile position does not mean every question was answered correctly; it describes relative performance, not marks divided by maximum marks.

A percentage calculation cannot recreate an AIR. It contains no information about how many candidates obtained the same or a higher score.

The later score is numerically higher, but that alone does not prove the later exam was easier. The question sets, candidate performance and final answer-key changes differ. Even converting both scores to percentages cannot isolate all those effects.

For a direct look at the 2024 reading and reasoning tasks, use the CLAT 2024 question paper. Analyse the passage and option choices rather than treating the topper’s marks as a universal admission target.

2024 Reference: How to Check Your Own CLAT Score

Use the result facility for the correct CLAT cycle and save the individual scorecard. Match the candidate details and programme before comparing marks or rank. A news report about a topper cannot confirm another candidate’s score.

The result is followed by a separate admission process. A score above an informal target does not automatically secure an NLU; the relevant rank, category, preference order and available seats determine the allotment. Keep any counselling or university decision separate from the topper table.

Top Scores and Admission

Has the CLAT 2027 AIR 1 been announced?+

No. The examination is scheduled for 6 December 2026; a 2024 or 2026 topper must not be described as the 2027 first-rank holder.

Does 100 percentile mean full marks?+

No. Percentage divides marks by the evaluated maximum, while percentile describes relative performance. In 2024, the highest UG score was 108 out of 118 even though the top percentile was 100.

Why are the 2024 and 2026 maximum marks different?+

The papers both had 120 printed questions, but the evaluated totals were 118 and 119 respectively after withdrawals. Comparing the top marks without their denominators loses that distinction.

Can a high mock score confirm an NLU seat?+

No. An actual allotment depends on the declared rank, chosen programmes, available seats and applicable reservation. A mock also uses a different set of questions and candidates, so its percentage cannot establish an official rank. A historical closing rank is a more relevant admission reference than a topper’s score, but it still describes a past round, not a guaranteed 2027 outcome.
