The file has 42 PDF pages. It begins with a historical objection notice and then the UG paper. The first page is not the start of the English section, and the objection dates on it are not a current application or challenge window.

The question pages include “Correct Option” entries. Scroll carefully if you want to solve a question before seeing the answer. This is an answer-marked copy, not a clean paper followed by a separate answer booklet.

CLAT 2021 Section-wise Questions

English has 30 questions, Current Affairs and General Knowledge 35, Legal Reasoning 40, Logical Reasoning 30 and Quantitative Techniques 15. The five sections together contain 150 questions.

An opening English passage compares well-known fictional detectives. It gives practice in tracking an author’s contrasts across a paragraph rather than treating every name or description as an isolated fact.

CLAT 2021 Answer Key and Scoring

The answers printed after questions are part of this downloadable edition. The opening objection notice does not establish that every printed option incorporates all later corrections. Do not describe those inline options as an independently reconciled final key.

Use the inline option to start a review, then check the reasoning in the passage or problem. Where a historical final-key correction is needed, match the year, programme, booklet and question before changing the answer. A coaching explanation and an official key can serve different purposes.

For practice, keep “answered before seeing the option” separate from “reviewed after seeing the option”. Combining them into one accuracy figure overstates what you solved independently.

How to Practise with the 2021 Paper

Use this file as a worked-review session. Read one complete extract, cover or avoid the visible option line, choose an answer and write a short reason. Then compare your choice with the marked answer and return to the relevant sentence or rule.

For the detective passage, make a two-column note of the characters and the features the author attributes to them. A question about a contrast cannot be answered by recalling a trait of only one character.

The same distinction helps in Legal Reasoning: identify which facts trigger the rule and which are background. In Logical Reasoning, separate a conclusion from the example supporting it. Record the exact misread phrase rather than writing only “silly mistake”.

CLAT 2021 Paper vs the Current Format

For a full unseen attempt, choose a clean 2024 or 2026 booklet instead. The 2021 copy is better suited to guided review because of its inline answers and older 150-question length.

The CLAT previous-year paper archive includes other years for comparison. Choose the year and programme first; a postgraduate law paper is not an interchangeable UG practice test.
