NTA has released NEET photo requirements on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. Based on the instructions, you have to upload your recent passport-size and postcard-size photograph, signature, left and right hands fingers and thumb impressions, Citizenship Certificate (if applicable), and PwD Certificate (if applicable). The image size should be 4″ x 6″. Also, make sure that the scanned NEET photo and signature are in JPG format and NEET documents are in PDF format. Check the following article to make sure that you follow the given specifications while uploading the photograph and signature in the NEET Application Form.

For the Application form, NEET Photo should be 10 KB to 200 KB, NEET signature size should be 4 KB to 30 KB, and the left and right-hand fingers and thumb impression must be between 10 kb to 200 kb. The scanned copies of PwD/UDID/Citizenship Certificate should be 50 KB to 300 KB and clearly visible. In case the uploaded images do not follow the given specifications, or there is no photo attached to the application form, your NEET registration will be rejected. Carry 4 to 6 copies of the same uploaded photograph to the exam center for NEET 2024.

Follow the given specifications while uploading NEET photo:

• The photograph should clearly bear the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph.
• The photograph must be taken for NEET 2024, after January 1, 2024.
• Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.
• On the other side of the photograph, mention your name, application form number, and roll no mandatorily.
• On the day of the examination, bring 4 to 6 photos of the same specification to the exam center. This photograph will be affixed to the attendance sheet.

Mistakes to Avoid while Uploading NEET Photo

• Do not upload Polaroid and Computer-generated photographs.
• Do not add photographs with caps or goggles.
• Do not upload attested photographs.
• Do not use photographs with colorful or non-white backgrounds. 
• Do not fabricate your photograph.
• Do not upload someone else’s photograph. Your registration will be rejected and criminal action may be taken as per the law.

• All the impressions of fingers and thumbs must be clearly visible. Do not smudge any prints.

NEET Photo Requirements: Dos and Don’ts

• Your name should be mentioned in the uploaded photographs with the date when the photograph was taken.

• The photographs should be clear. There should be 80% face coverage and ears should be visible.
• If your uploaded NEET photographs are not clear, the NEET application will be rejected.

• While uploading the NEET signature, do not write your entire name in capital letters. This may lead to the rejection of the application.

Note: If in case the photos do not follow the given guidelines, you can change them when the application form correction window is in operational mode on the official website.

NEET Registration 2024: Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for NEET

NEET 2024 registration is open from February 9 to March 9, 2024. NEET application form can be filled in the online mode only. You can follow these steps to apply for NEET 2024:

1. Fill out the application form and save the registration number for future reference.
2. Upload images of scanned photographs and signatures.
3. Make a payment of the fee with available options.
4. Take a printout of the online application form and save it for future reference and record it with the fee receipt.
