National Testing Agency conducted NEET UG retest on June 23, 2024 across 7 exam centres. Out of the 1,563 candidates eligible for retest, 750 skipped the exam.
NEET UG retest was conducted only for those candidates who had received grace marks to compensate for the loss of time during NEET UG 2024 held on May 5.
Highlights of NEET UG 2024 Retest
- The exam was held from 2:00PM to 5:20PM
- The re-exam was conducted across a total of 7 test centres in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Meghalaya and Chandigarh.
- 813 students (52% approx) appeared for retest while 750 (48% approx) skipped the exam.
- In Chandigarh, both the students eligible for retest skipped the exam which led to the shutting of the centre gate equipped with invigilators and police.
- On the same day as NEET UG 2024 retest, CBI also filed an FIR from the Ministry of Education which complained that “some isolated events in Gujarat and Bihar” led to the misconduct of the examination. A special team was dispatched to look into the matter.
