
National Medical Commission (NMC) has given approval to Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Arunachal Pradesh for increasing its MBBS seats to 100 for the academic session 2024-25.
This comes after an application was submitted by TRIHMS under relevant sections of NMC Act, 2019 in an effort to increase medical education in the region. Jitulal Ramprasad Meena, a Member of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of NMC has sanctioned this approval. The increased seats will remain valid from the time of admission upto the final examination.
To be compliant with the norms of NMC for medical institutes, TRIHMS, Arunachal Pradesh will have to host a justifiable infrastructure, human resources, medical equipment and teaching faculty throughout the academic year.
