What's New in NEET UG 2026?
NEET result 2026 has been released on the official website. NTA released the NEET result 2026 on 16 June 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in. You can use your NEET application number, password, and security PIN to check your NEET result 2026.
- As per the official NEET result notice, 11.21 lakh candidates qualified the NEET 2026 exam.
- Number of female students qualifying the NEET 2026 exam exceeded 58% this year.
- Majority of the toppers in NEET 2026 examination are 17 and 19 years of age.
- This year, around 93% of candidates appeared for the first time, and 99% are between 17 and 19 years of age.
NTA has also published the NEET final answer key on the official website. You can go to the official website at neet.nta.nic.in to download the NEET 2026 final answer key pdf.
NTA has released the NEET OMR sheet on the official website on 13 July 2026. You can also click on the link below to download your re-NEET OMR sheet 2026. NEET OMR response challenge window is available from 13 July to 15 July (11:00 AM).
NTA conducted the re-NEET examination 2026 on 21 June 2026. As per the expert analysis and student reactions, NEET 2026, conducted on 21 June 2026, was easy to moderate in difficulty level.

NTA has released the re-NEET 2026 final answer key 2026 on 16 July 2026. After the challenges against the provisional answer key for NEET wrer resolved, NTA released the final answer key for NEET 2026.

How to Challenge Provisional NEET Answer Key?
Once the provisional answer key for NEET 2026 is released, students will be allowed to file objections against the answer key. For each answer you want to challenge, you must pay a fee of INR 200 and submit the challenge within the specified timeline.

NEET 2026 Marks Calculation
NEET 2026 OMR sheets are evaluated based on the exam pattern for NEET 2026 exam.
- For each correct answer, 4 marks will be added to your total score.
- For each incorrect answer, -1 mark will be deducted from your overall score.
- For unattempted questions, no marks are added or deducted.
- Total questions in NEET 2026 are 180, and the total marks are 720.
Formula for calculating the total marks for NEET 2026 is:
NEET Total Marks = (Number of Correct Answers x 4) - Number of Incorrect Answers

NTA does not conduct the counselling for NEET exam. Different authorities for the State Quota and All India Quota seats conduct counselling for NEET.
- For All India Quota seats, counselling for NEET 2026 will be conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).
- All India Quota seats include 15% seats in Government Medical Colleges and 100% seats in AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and 85% of DU/IP University seats.
- State Quota seats include 85% of seats in state medical colleges reserved for respective states.
NEET 2026: Reservation Criteria
Reservations for NEET 2026 counselling are prescribed in the official brochure of NEET 2026. As per the reservation criteria for NEET 2026, a total of 49.5% seats are reserved for OBC, EWS, SC, and ST category candidates.
- 10% seats in each course are reserved for EWS category candidates.
- For OBC category candidates, 27% seats are reserved.
- 15% seats in NEET UG are reserved for SC candidates.
- For ST candidates, 7.5% seats are reserved.

NTA has published the NEET marks vs rank 2026 on the oficial website. This year, AIR 1 was secured with NEET marks of 715.
- 50000 rank in NEET 2026 translated to NEET marks of 535.
- 100000 rank in re-NEET 2026 was secured by students with a NEET score of 493 marks.
- 460 marks in NEET translated to a NEET rank of 150000.
- Students securing 325 marks in re-NEET 2026 were ranked at 500000 in the NEET 2026 examination.
