CCMT 2027 Status and Participating Route

CCMT is Centralized Counselling for M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan admissions in participating NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IIITs and CFTIs. The 2027 notification is not announced. NIT Agartala coordinated the completed 2026 cycle, whose rules and fees are separated below.

CCMT is not the IIT offer portal. IIT applicants generally need institute applications and the applicable COAP offer process.

CCMT Eligibility: 2026 Reference

The accepted GATE years were 2024, 2025 and 2026. Eligibility also required a qualifying degree and GATE paper mapped to the selected programme, plus any special conditions. A score above a previous closing score did not override an ineligible degree.

Where both CGPA and percentage were provided, CGPA was considered. A non-10-point CGPA was converted linearly to a 10-point scale; university conversion formulas were not used in place of this rule. A foreign qualifying degree required AIU recognition/equivalence where applicable.

Registration, Choices and Allotment

• Register with eligible GATE and academic details.
• Pay the registration fee and select only programmes for which the degree/paper combination is eligible.
• Arrange choices in your actual preference order and lock them by the deadline; saved choices were automatically locked at closure.
• After an allotment, pay the required acceptance fee, upload documents and submit willingness.
• Respond to verification queries and complete the later admission payment and reporting requirements.

The 2026 cycle had three regular rounds, two special rounds and one National Spot Round. Regular registration ran from 15 May to 5 June; choice filling closed on 8 June. These dates have passed and are not the 2027 schedule.

Float, Slide and Freeze

Float could change to Slide or Freeze, and Slide could change to Freeze. You could not move back from a narrower willingness to a broader one. Freeze stopped higher-choice upgrades but did not necessarily prevent an upgrade of the allotted category.

CCMT Fees: 2026 Reference

Registration charges were non-refundable and not adjusted against institute fees. SAF and PAF were adjusted against the final admitting institution's fee. Special-round or NSR participation amounts were governed by their own stage and adjustment rules; do not add every row as if every candidate pays all stages.

Documents and Verification

• Photo ID and proof of date of birth.
• Class 12 certificate and qualifying-degree marksheets.
• Degree/provisional certificate, or permitted final-result undertaking/certificate.
• Valid GATE scorecard for the accepted year and paper.
• Applicable category and PwD documents; 2026 OBC-NCL/EWS certificates had to be issued on or after 1 April 2026.
• Certified translation for documents not in Hindi or English; respond to verification queries by the stated deadline.

A verification query left unanswered by its deadline could cancel the seat. Final-year candidates in 2026 had a specific route for delayed results: examinations had to finish by 15 August and the final result had to be submitted by 30 September, with the prescribed head-of-institution certification. These were 2026 concessions, not permanent deadlines.

Tie-breaking and Closing Scores

For tied GATE scores, CCMT 2026 ranked candidates by the score year selected during registration. Ties used the ratio of AIR to total candidates appearing in the paper, with the smaller ratio preferred. Date of birth and a random tie-break followed when needed. Compare closing scores within the same programme, category, round and year; a single institute-wide number is not a complete cutoff.
